| Nasty Nasty Weather Ick! It's been raining & cold here ALL weekend & there's no sign of stopping! Some areas are kind of icy. So far it's just been wet where I am, but now they're saying it's going to start getting icy here! My mom was here this weekend but she just left because it's supposed to be worse tomorrow & she wanted to be able to get back home while she can. I'm praying so hard right now that she has a safe trip back home. I'm SOOOOO not a cold weather girl...especially when it's wet like this! I hate snow & ice.

| It's real nasty here as well. It has been raining all day and is suppose to through tomorrow but thank heavens it's not "SNOW". The weather has been fairly warm for this time of year and so many people and kids are sick from it. It's a good day to be mesmerized infront of the YT screen. Hope your mom gets home safe. | It sounds like you are really getting bad weather. It is cold and rainy here. I really cant complain we have had a warm winter so far. I bet I have only put My winter coat on a couple of times. It is funny though I used to stock the house up with food before a snow storm. They said it was going to get cold this weekend so I went to the store and got a bunch of food so we dont have to go out. We are really spoiled this year.

| I was joking with my family earlier that we get 1/2" of ice and we're "snowed in". This morning the roads were too icy to go into town about 8 miles away. By this afternoon there had finally been enough traffic. It IS cold tho, Christie. Especially after the weather the last few days....

| I'm in Grand Prairie & my husband just came back from work. He said thus far it's still mostly rain with no terribly slick spots. Once the night skies hit, I think the bridges & overpasses will be ice skating rinks! I hope your mom made it home safely & didn't have too far to travel. I am a cold weather girl...I'm from Iowa/Minnesota...& this icey rain thing is just plain yucky, not to mention frightening for drivers! CJ

| Yep, the cold finally blew in here in my part of TX (Brenham) a few hours ago. Raining and nasty! Makes me glad I have absolutely nowhere I have to be until Tuesday (good time to have a Monday holiday!). We live high on a hill out in the country so whenever it's "windy" in town, it seems to blow you down up on our hill. Tatum was so funny a while ago. She needed to potty so bad but didn't want to get off our porch. She tried all three sides of our wrap around porch and then finally ran off and peed real quick in the cold wind and rain. If she didn't have to go so bad, it probably would have taken more coaxing but I was so proud of her! I am not a cold weather person either.

In December we got out of GJ just in the nick of time .... left Denver just ahead of the first blizzard and when we stepped out of the airport in Birmingham, Toto and I were shedding clothing so fast that Patrick had to stop us!! We were confused to find out that kissing the ground might be a little out of order!! Even though it rained quite a bit while we were there, it was heaven to be in our own home with that gorgeous heat pump, my set of Maytag Neptune "guys" and my beautiful dishwasher that is soooo quiet you have to open the door to make sure it's washing dishes!! Pat finds it odd that I talk to my "stuff" and go around saying "Goodbye" when we have to leave!! We did call the airport the day before our return flight and were told .... two choices ... possibly sleep in the Denver airport with strangers or take the delay and sleep at home! Well, duhhhh, naturally we waited at home! It was nice! Enjoy the nice weather [you know I don't think you're mean ... we're just envious!]!!

| Hope all of you stay safe. I've been watching reports about what's supposed to be headed your way and all I can say is I'm glad it's not me! It's been partly cloudy today, just about 70 degrees and I've got all windows open to enjoy it. Stay safe

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | Christy, I hope you mom has a safe trip home....she was smart to get away before it gets worse!! I know we need the rain, but rain & cold.....just makes it miserable and hard with pups trained to go outside! (Ours are doing very well using the pee pads inside today....thank goodness.) I am just amazed how much coverage this weather is getting on the news this morning......screaming ice any minute....yet it is afternoon and still not sleet or ice. We got out and went ahead and went downtown to see the dog show in Dallas Convention Center and then went to get groceries because heading back home.....and there were lots of people out and about and the roads were fine. (We got to see the Yorkies show today and there were some pretty yorkies......it was fun to watch!)

No Longer a Member | We're here on the coast and yep, "Winter Storm" is all we have heard on the news. Looks like the rain is about to start, and should be freezing by the morning. Supposed to ice here also, I've got the biggest pot of gumbo going and I'm ready! |

| OMG!!! I just talked to my mom & she hit a wet spot & ran off of the interstate into a ditch!!! Thankfully she's ok. And she was in an area where there's a lot of farmland and most people had trucks & someone stopped to pull her out. I'm so glad she left when she did, though.

I hadn't heard about that or I would have tried to go today!! I've never been to one & think it would be cool. To see the Yorkies anyway.
