| Eyelid twitching! My left eyelid started twitching today...it is driving me frick'n nuts! I did a search and it says get more sleep, don't eat or drink stuff with caffeine and lubricate eye with eyedrops. Anyone else know of any remedies? It isn't constant, but very often and I want to make it stop!!!

| I've gotten this and getting more sleep has made it go away. It's a weird feeling, huh? |

Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | Connie, I'm sorry you're experiencing this. I've never had this to deal with, but growing up I noticed my mom did quite a bit. Raising four girls alone, she had a bit of stress, though . Hope you feel better soon.

| omg>>> That is soooo weird.. Dan's did that last week and I called the eye doctor. His did it for two days straight. The eye doctor said it happens when you have strained your eyes or if you are under stress it can happen. I know you sewed alot the other day and maybe it strained your eyes or maybe you are under stress...lol (Who isn't) lol lol |

| It is not just stress and caffeine, but any sort of irritation that causes the muscles in the eyelid to spasm. Most often it will stop on its own. If it goes on for more than a couple of weeks, see your eye doctor. A botox injection can help. Another word for this is blepharospasm if you want to do a search for that. I have had twitching in my left eye for over a month due to dry eyes and irritation from having my tear ducts plugged. I just live with it!

| Everyone is staring at you, Connie! A couple of years ago mine did that for a few days and then it suddenly went away. I'm not sure what caused it, but it hasn't happened since. I wouldn't worry about it to much.

| Connie ~ I had that happen for a few years on and off, it was caused from stress and drove me nuts, I was in a very high stress job. Yours could be the stress from the Holidays, stress does not always affect your body when you are stressed, it can have a delayed reaction. Don't worry, have a glass of wine and relax.......it will go away!
