| I recently had my last two wisdom teeth pulled (I had the other two pulled about 8 years ago). I was just going to leave them in, but they were giving me lots of problems. Pain was one of them, but also were they tooth couldn't completely come through, it had rotted, and the smell was AWFUL!!! I would get a second opinion. Good luck! |

| i say definitely find a new dentist. odor is definitely a red flag especially with wisdom teeth. Unless he/she had a real good reason where the benefit outweight the risk of having the wisdom teeth in. get a 2nd opinion. live above stated, could be infection or root has rotted. good luck! |

| I have all four of mine, no problems. What does your dentist think the bad breath is from? |

| I had all 4 of mine pulled when I was 13 and left for summer camp the following day...not the best idea but I had to be there to defend our first place swim meet trophy that our team got every year! Anyway, my bottom teeth grew in a little sideways and pushed the front ones out of place on the bottom so now I'm going to have them straightened or crowned so they look straight. I don't remember having pain or infection...I think they took them out because there just wasn't room for them to come in. Good luck with yours! |

| I had all of mine taken out in September. I had the bad breath and jaw pain, but I also had headaches and a sore throat all the time. After going through the heck of getting all four cut out (it's definately no fun!), I no longer have all those issues. I feel like a new woman! |

| I've had all 4 of mine out, but one at a time as they started to come through. It's really not that bad, especially if they don't have huge roots. Each one took about 10 minutes from beginning to end for me..so if you did fine without them, I say get RID of them! |

| I had all four of mine pulled at the same time. I was experiencing bad breath, jaws aching...but there was one that wasn't quite all the way through yet. I used that Chloriseptic spray for sore throats, because it did help numb the inside of my chaw, once it came through, I went to a dentist that put me under and pulled all four. I never had any swelling, pain or anything problems at all. I told a friend about this dentist so she went and had all her wisdom teeth pulled and swelled up like a chipmunk.

| At least ask for an antibiotic from your dentist... sounds like you have a gum infection going on there!!! I have 3 of my 4 wisdom teeth still in my mouth... my dentist ALWAYS wants to take them out... I tell him that they are the only teeth in my mouth that don't hurt!!!!

| I work for an oral surgeon so this is up my alley. Flossing daily should help with the breath problem. Lots of factors for bad oders in the mouth food left in between teeth is one factor it kind of rots (gross), second reason and if your gums bleed when you floss is gum disease which smells. A Dry mouth can lead to bad breath. Tobacco products can give you bad breath. And don't forget to brush your tongue. If cavaties are left untreated they can get worse and if left in too long they will have to be removed. Steph you do all your chewing on your back teeth. If at all possible since you have lost your other molar teeth it is best to keep them. If you have any more questions for me I will do my best to answer anything I can. I have been in the dental field now for over 10 years.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I say find a new dentist. It's ultimately up to you what you want to do. If they're bothering you, you should have them removed. I hope to God I'm one of the few that doesn't need to get them out! I have the worst fear of needles. (Yes, just the novicane shot is what has me scared out of my skin about them).
