| advice. Wife wants a kitten.I'm unsure. I'm on ship overseas. so If I don't reply real fast, don't think anything of it. We've got Bella my yorkie she's the love of my life. {don't tell my wife} and is horribley spoiled. more clothes than me and about two dozen beds and still sleeps in ours. my wife wants a kitten some stray I quess. I'm worried it might hurt Bella? I've had her since I was young. LOL Old guy that I am. She's my first dog. Do you think she'll be okay? if we get all the shots and such for the kitten, cat stuff doesn't like spread? can't call my vet and the guys on ship are kind of cluess. other questions, wife wants to know can you dress a cat like a yorkie? I quess she means like clothes and such. {told her point blank Bella's stays Bellas} can she buy whatever she wants for it. I mean would a cat handle being dresses? it took my forever to get Bella to allow me to dress her. Mike |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Well, Mike...if you get a kitten, I'm sure it will be fine versus an older cat (unless cat was raised around dogs). NOW, question is...what will Bella think of the cat/kitten? Has she been around cats before? Secondly, cats are so much more independant than dogs. I do NOT think you'll find one that does like clothes or being dressed. I'm sure they are out there but most cats will fight it...which means scratches and bite marks for you or your wife. Then, you have the issue of the litter box. You're going to have to keep it up high since most dogs like those kitty-crunchies that are left behind...YUCK!!! I'm sure you two will make the right decision for your family. I once use to be a cat-only-lover...now, I'm a yorkie lover 100% and can leave the kitties out.

| The cat and the dog will worki it out. Bella might get scratched once but after that she'll learn to keep her distance. Once they get acquainted they should play together very nicely. |

| Me I've offered to get her a yorkie puppy. but she doesn't want to wait til I get home to help. I'm here til Feb for my understanding. and I'm not really sure if she doesn't think a puppy might be too much for Bella. and a kitten you can leave at home while you go out unlike Bella who is a stow away,on shopping trips. Anyway I'm glad to hear not likely anything that's going to hurt her. Well Bella vists my wife's parents cats. and gets along fine. I know but the kitty stuff from the poo box. trust me I know Bella likes that. ugh. my wife doesn't speak english well,so I wanted her to wait til I came home before she looked for a puppy or kitten. as well sometimes. translations aren't always the best. trust me I speak english and people pull stuff past me still. LOL Mike |

| Let's not forget to add that if this kitten is a male then you will also have to deal with the cat spraying when it get's older and let me tell you that is the worst smell in the world!Even nutering them dose not prevent it.

| I have 4 cats and one Yorkie. The yorkie loves to chase the cats. To her, they are toys that move on their own. They rapidly became the best of friends. I doubt a little kitten would be too bothered by the Yorkie, not knowing any different most likely. I would say go for it, but the two should be supervised until the show that they get along. If the kitten is scared, he/she will hide someplace that the Yorkie cannot reach. All in good time....
