| Lost Poodle! My son, his GF, and two young daughters were in a very bad accident yesterday near exit 174, I 10, by Greensboro and Quincy, FL between Jacksonville and Pensacola, just west of Tallahassee. Hope that gives a general idea on location. Their car flipped several times, is demolished, and yet somehow they are all okay -- thank you dear Lord! During the aftermath of trying to calm the girls and make sure they were okay, their little black minature Poodle ran off. A well-meaning bystander tried to catch her but she was too scared from the crash. He thought he saw her go down a dirt road just off the exit. When I got there, my son had already been looking for 2 hours and we continued looking for several more. We left a couple of reward signs, and my son's number with everyone we could in case their little poodle turned up. They are so worried about her. She has never been outside without them. Hopefully someone picked her up and is just waiting for word of her being lost. Unfortunately not long before the wreck, they took off her collar with her tags and ID as she seemed to be uncomfortable in the car. So, she is out there somewhere with no tag but freshly groomed and obviously well-cared for. I am going to post this in a few places and we will be getting an ad into the newspaper over that way. We are also going to put up a lot more signs and go back over there to look again. This is so sad -- but I am so very grateful they are all okay.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | OMG I'm so sorry !!! I'm so glad your son and family are ok and I really hope they find their little dog - she must be so scared and that must be adding to their own shock from the accident.....Oh man - I hate feeling helpless but if there is anything I can do just ask OK ??? Flyers or whatever ...I was glad to read she has tags on - are they up to date ???? Try calling the local vets.....too bad they can't do a radio spot asking for help....is that something to try ?? ALL THE BEST TO YOUR FAMILY and prayers for their little pet... |

| No V I read that as NO TAGS You just never know when your gonna need tags on your babies! It really makes me worry about mine! I had an OCD kind of day and bought Tags for the girs for EVERY collar and harness they own! Just incase we grabbed one in a hurry! and ran out... not all of them have their microchip info or their rabies tags... but every last one of them has a tag that says their name, my cell, and the words "Large Reward" Boy the tag guy at the street fait thought I was a total wack job but heck he sold 28 tags to me! I'm sure he was talking for weeks about the crazy lady who bought all those flippin tags! lol I am so sorry about your family... I am so happy to hear that they are safe! And I hope their baby is safe as well.. being freshly groomed is a good thing! call every groomer first! and vet! just to leave your contact info! then follow up with flyers!! If someone has that baby... those are the people they may call.. and the local pounds... file a lost animal report with animal control. If they call they can hook you two up in a heartbeat! I'll pray that you find this baby and everyone can be safe and sound together!

| Oh no! I am so very sorry. It is quite a blessing that no one was injured. Surely to goodness that some kind soul will find their furkid and return her. I will keep your family in my prayers. Sending hugs |

| Thanks for all the ideas -- still looking. They will get the ad in the papers on Tuesday and hopefully that will get some attention. We have made lots of signs and flyers. They will be putting more of them up tomorrow. Will look into the radio idea too. After going through the car again, they did not find her collar with the tags -- so now they are wondering if she might have had it on, even though they thought they had taken it off for her to sleep more comfortably. That would be wonderful and maybe someone will be calling come Tuesday when they can locate the rabies tag number. Everyone has been plenty sore -- I think their muscles took a beating in the accident -- but still amazing that they are all basically fine. We even got all the blood stains from their clothes today. Lots of little scratches from the broken glass. Another weird thing, dirt and grass clumps were all over the car from it flipping and the sun roof being broken out. My son got fire ant bites all over his hand -- from the dirt being thrown in the car! Now isn't that bizarre -- he makes it through the accident only to get bitten up by those dang ants!
