Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Ooooh My neighbors are driving me nuts ! The girls have a little friend Ray Ray next door - she's a terrier mix who wants to rip my face off everytime I get close to her....which lately is too often.....I did help her deliver her puppies last year and she wanted a chunk of me that day too - The problem is her son GREW to be a big boy and is DIGGING HOLES everywhere ! I've found these little sneaks in my yard 4 times in the last month.... and found Ray Ray out front all by herself one day. The bad part is we just cannot afford to build a new fence at this time so I'm stuck adding boards as we go. I've had to lasso her with leashes to get her back to her own yard and man - I feel like I'm taming the Tiger - she is ALL teeth lol my fence looks so horrible on that side and they're still digging under it. I have Ceramic Tile all over the place but tried to get my neighbor to put some on his side and he said no. Can I just go smack him ??? I'd be gentle I'm so worried that one day they'll bust thru and go after my girls - so far they just wander around peeing on everything but this is getting SO OLD.....I need some ideas on how to barricade the part under the fence edges... I don't care about looks anymore it already looks like a Drunk Carpenter fixed the fence but I need a good CHEAP barricade....

| there going uner the fence? DO you have like a metal yard or scrap metal place that you may beable to get some of the wire fence and you can poke it into the ground. and just line that area with it. Im sorry your neighbor is being a jerk! Do you have a radio station there that yuou can advertise your looking for whatever or selling whatever? We do here....ppl on here sells or gives away rolls of that fencing everyday..if only we lived closer...... |

| Try digging a little under the whole fence and put bricks all lined up then cover them up with the dirt.. The bricks costs like .20 cents each at Home depot or Lowe's which ever one is around you..

| People can be soooo rude.... My sister had the same problem with her neighbor. So she went and got thin sheets of wood put them along the fence and hammered them into the ground. That way you don't see them and they wouldn't beable to get in your yard. You could also use a sheet metal. I hope that makes sense..

Thats why I want to move way out in the country so I dont have to deal with this sort of crap! Thank god Lillie dosent go outside much, if she does, she is with me on a leash. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Actually I really like my neighbor but wish he'd take those tiles and line them up so they can't dig thru the dirt .....I don't want metal because I don't want MY girls hurt....so it's got to be something strong enough so they can't scoot under .... but safe enough for them to play around - especially with Chanel - her little face is always pressed up against the fence spying....metal can be sharpe. I have long boards there now AND tile - but these guys are just digging deeper - I can't believe how fast Blink the boy dog can dig a hole |

| I'll come after them with my bare hands if they touch the "spy girls". I would try chicken wire below the fence so they can't get through it. I would also report it to the local police dept to have it on record that the neighbor won't do anything just incase, heaven forbid, someone gets bit. V, dig along your side of the fence down about 2" and tack the chicken wire along the line of the fence then cover with dirt again. I did that in my own yard years ago to keep my terrior in our yard, however, he was friendly and would dig out to make his rounds around the neighborhood. Hope it works. Carol & Buddy |

I bet I could put tiles on top of where the Chicken wire is... and that way there's no chance of them cutting their feet ???? | |

| How terrible! I definitely remember when Ray Ray had those puppies and what a tremendous help you were and to be treated like this after all you've done for them, I just can't imagine. My vote is to go smack him and you can be gentle - or not Unless your neighbor is willing to do something on their side of the fence, I don't know what else you can do. Like you said, you have to look out for your precious girls so you don't want to put anything down that could hurt them. I don't know how expensive it would be (you might can even find some scraps at a lumber yard or a home being built or remodeled) but what about plywood? You could dig down so many feet, stand it up, then cover it back up and no one would ever see it. Then when the dogs dig, they'd have to dig to freaking China to get in your yard. Of course, that may be way too much work but maybe when your sons come for a visit, they could help you with that. Wish I lived closer to you - I'd be over there today when I got off work helping dig it out.

| If you google "stop your dogs from digging"...... there are a few good tips!! Cayenne Pepper is one ( sprinkle on the other side of the fence when the neighbor ain't looking!!!) Also spraying vinegar and water ( which has to be done after each rain.... ... but if it works, it may be worthwhile. Good Luck! ( I also may suggest a nice big boot in the ....... ... never mind... that may not be very nice.. and it really isn't the poor dogs fault.... maybe the boot will fit up... ..... OK I will be nice now!) |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | LOL maybe I can sprinkle something over there but I don't want to hurt them - they're actually good dogs just bored out of their minds.... JUST to give you an idea - 1st Picture is my fence looks like on the NON DOG SIDE and then ...My Classic Art Deco One of a kind 'Ray Ray & Son' Fence ...in the last shot you can see the little demon dog peeking thru and her cohort is right behind her twice her size lol - the girls LOVE playing with them that's why I have to be careful what I put up or down......Didn't I do nice work ???? lol - No one will EVER accuse me of being a carpenter ! |
