| Laser hair removal Has anyone had laser hair removal done? Can you give an idea of cost and was it effective?? Also was it painful? I've been waxing for years and have a consultation on Thursday to see about getting the laser done.

| What area are you wanting to get lasered? I get electrolysis on my face. It is the only proven form of permanent hair removal. But you can't do electrolysis on very large areas like your legs and arms, so that is where laser would be helpful. But if you are looking for a form of permanent hair removal for your face, I would recommend electrolysis because it is permanent. |

| Ideally I'd get my bikini, underarms and upper lip done. It will all depend on cost though!

Awesome! Look into electrolysis, too. I got my entire face (eyebrows, sideburns, upper lip), toes, & fingers done, and soon I'll be getting my bikini and underarms done. It is permanent. You should look into it if the laser thing doesnt' work out! | |

| My sister had her underarms and bikini area done last year and I want to say it was around $800 but it's been a while since she told me and I'm not 100% sure of it. It was a birthday present from her husband (sweet guy!!). She is SO loving it! Last week my best friend told me that her husband was paying for laser hair removal for her and that she gets to pick which areas she wants. She had her first treatment last week and she did underarms, bikini area AND legs! The treatment center though is under strict instructions to NOT tell her how much it's costing so we're not sure. I told her I'm curious as all get out so she's gonna try to find out. I'm sure it's quite pricey!

| Luckily I think my hubby might cover the cost as part of my Christmas or birthday gift. I also have a 25% off coupon for the initial treatment which should help. I have my consultation on Thursday evening and I'll let you know what the cost is.

| I went for my consultation last night and got all the pricing. It's $175 for the lip, $300 for underarms (lower than most since I've been waxing for so long) and $400+ for the bikini, depending on how much is done. He gives a 25% discount if you get all 3 done. Now consider these costs are PER session and he said it typically takes 4-5 sessions for the hair to not grow back. On average it would be 25% hair loss per session. He actually didn't recommend the laser for my lip - said the hair wasn't thick/dark enough. I might see about electrolysis for that instead. Overall - VERY expensive. Not sure I'll go ahead but it sure would be nice.
