Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Is it wrong for me to be annoyed? GRRRRRR. I should probably tell you what happened. I'm on a Wicked fansite forum. Someone started a thread "How many times have you been to NYC?" so there's this one girl there and her friend who are the most annoying people on the planet. They live on Long Island. all they EVER talk about is how close they are to the city and they brag about it constantly. So after they made 2 pages by themselves on this thread about how close they live, they had the nerve to say everyone else was bragging by saying they've been there 5 times or whatever. (the annoying girl's friend even said "saying NYC is so hickish" which is BEYOND rude) So this kind of thing has been going on for almost a year. and I really was just past the point of annoyance. So I told them they were being rude and they should stop. So then the annoying girl's friend emailed me and she was all like "You should apologize to me..." yadda yadda. We've been emailing back and forth for like a week. Finally I was just like "Fine. I'm sorry I kept grouping you two together and saying what you guys were doing. But I was only so annoyed because it wasn't the first time it had happened." So then she sends back to me (in huge font) "...Wow, THAT was a nice apology-NOT!" Everyone on the forum is so friendly and nice. I'm friends with all of them. But this girl is just driving me insane. First off, I didn't even HAVE to apologize to her for anything, but I did anyway. and she STILL had the nerve to say that to me!! Am I wrong to be annoyed that she said that to me? I'm sorry this was so long...but it's really starting to bother me.

| Don't let it get to you..some people are just so immature they'll never understand how stupid they behave. Its just some stuck up teenagers who have nothing better to do than go on the internet and act like they're better than everyone else. Your right..you shouldn't have had to apologize but the fact that you did..shows how much more grown up you are than them. |

| Don't let her suck you in. You are better then her. You can be annoyed, I probably would be to. But I wouldn't get into it with her. People like that aren't worth your time. Personally I tend to ignore those type of people. P.S. what are you doing up at this hour missy?! Don't you have school tomorrow?

| I wouldn't worry about it. It's just the internet. If you don't have to deal with these people, and if they aren't important to you then just ignore them.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I agree with everyone Megan - there are people out there that go out of their way to intentionally annoy people - they know what they're doing - I've had dealings with people like that and it IS best to try to ignore any personal correspondence - it just fuels their need to get on your nerves. I can't see anyone doing that to you - they obviously don't know you at all but that explains why people like that do what they do - they don't need to know you - they just want to push buttons. hmmmmmm....it sure reminds me of someone else we've seen .....doesn't it ???? |

| Megan, you are a very nice girl! Don't let that bitch get to you. Take it from someone older and wiser ...."arguing" via email almost never gets you anywhere...probably just in a deeper whole and more frustrated (been there, done that). If she's a nasty bitch (which she sounds like) you shouldn't even want to be friends with her. Just ignore her, and move on. You can't be friends with everyone. Not only that, you've never even met her right? Forget her! Just don't forget that WE love you!!!!

Big Deal, if they think NYC is Hickish ... what is big time to them? I have only been to NYC ONCE since 9-11 (and that was to go see a play one of my former students is in) ... otherwise I steer clear. I'd be afraid to go there with Moinday anywayz. Everything they have in NYC (except B'dway shows) is available in any major city ... and probably is safer! These are probably young teens truly impressed with crowded sidewalks. Ignore them ....

They only said "saying NYC is so hickish" because apperantly, one of them thinks that out of staters ( ) only think of Manhattan when they think NYC. She's just rediculous. But that's just it. They were going on and on and on (and on and on and on) about how NYC isn't that special (because apperantly they go all the time) and they were saying kind of mean things and yadda yadda stupid stuff. Obviously, on a forum all about a Broadway show, people on there are going to wish they could go to New York. And those dumb girls were just being rude. You guys are right. I'll just ignore her.

| Are you talking about Wicked the musical? I saw it when it came to Toronto and I have to say it was the BEST broadway show I've ever seen. It was Fabulous! I highly recommend everyone see it if you ever have the chance! I had no idea there was a fan site for it though... I also saw Spamalot and Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me this year. I'm going to see Lord of the Dance on January 4. Yep, I'm a theatre nut. |

You are way more mature than that. You keep up with the adults on this forum from 20 to 60+ and most times one would never know that you were a kid. Enjoy the people that you like and ignore the rest. Don't let them drag you down to their level. You be the one to choose your battles, don't let someone else drag you into them. | |

Did you see it this year or last year in Toronto? Because I was dying to get up there this year to see it. (the two ladies who were playing Elphaba and Glinda were the first ones I'd seen on Broadway) but I had no money. and thank you guys. You're way too nice. (and I went back and read some of my posts from last year. ew. I can't believe you thought I was an adult. I sounded like a freak!)

| Everyone's right. I thought you were an adult all this time until I heard you mention one day that you were starting school the next day. It's best to just ignore those girls. It's weird but some girls actually get pleasured by making other people upset. I've had a lot of girls do that to me in high school and ignoring them not only makes you the better person, but it makes THEM look stupid.
