| We're doing ours tomorrow. We have a friend here from Florida and he's going to help so we drove around town tonight for a little 'inspiration'...they'll do the work and I'll be on stand-by and ready to head out for the store if we need more stuff! We already bought a Santa hat for the big bear and I can't wait to see everything lit up! |

| Here is our house. My hubby doesn't like clutter, so the inside is very basic...

| Our place is more minimal and modern looking, and decorated in rich neutral colors (buttercream, natural cherry wood, cocoa brown, white, and espresso). I don't like to add a lot of Christmas decoration because it can feel cluttered, and I don't like the traditional red and green in our space. It kind of clashes with our whole "theme", so I'm doing Christmas this year in pink and brown. The tree is up! All the ornaments on the tree are pink, gold, and brown, and the tree skirt I made from chocolate colored satin. I made my husband a brown stocking, while I will have a pink one (as will Emma!). (I'm not done with them yet...) I bought gift wrap in pink and brown patterns, and got some plain brown paper and raffia to mix in with pink accents for under the tree. Sure, it'a little non-traditional, but I like it and it still feels like Christmas to me! |

| that sounds pretty, nothing wrong with the different colors, one year my theme was purple i used my halloween lights to decorate outside and my tree was decorated with shades of purple, it was really pretty, and different

I used to ALWAYS use only purple and silver, until friends of mine teased me and said that I should have not an angel on the top of the tree, but a purple teletubbie doll (Tinky Winky, for those that know!) After that, I couldn't look at my purple tree in the same way anymore without cracking up! I think next year I might do all lime green...we'll have to see where we end up moving to! | |
