| I've seen people put small stakes in the yard with foil pans on them so they would blow in the wind. Looks weird, but it works...straw and there's this green matting type stuff you can roll out over the lawn. Probably be best to ask a lawn care professional...any in your area?

Nothing worked for me. I had the yard at my new house seeded in September and between the birds and the chickens next door, nothing came up. I ended up having sod put down. I feel for you.

| I've hear that placing a few big rubber snakes on the yard helps. Good luck!

We got the real ones and they fly down to grab em I put the walkie talkie in the middle of the newly seeded lawn and as long as I hollered on the one I carried with me inside the house, shhhhhhooooooooooooo they would go for a bit, that got old in a hurry but it worked, I bought a little radio at wal mart and got a station with Christmas Music on it and sat it on one of the yard chairs, Jack told me about 8 Quail was around the chair eating the seedlings, I scurried them off and luckily they stayed away. There is several families of Quail in groups of about 25 that come strutting through our yard about the same times every day. Love watching them but not at this time, the Christmas Music was nice to hear so I think I will keep doing this for awhile and see how it goes. Our neighbors across the road was doing their Out Door Christmas Decorating and she thought I was playing the music for them I laughed and told her sure was Last edited by Baby Blessing; 11-24-2006 at 10:56 PM. | |
