This happened less than a mile from my office and my husband treated some of the victims that came into the ER this morning. He said all the injuries were horrific. I know there were TONS of ambulances, police cars, and fire trucks going to the scene this morning. Very scary!

Well I heard about this before it was even on the news because it happened less than a mile from where I work. And my hubby was working in the ER this morning and he treated some of the victims. He said that injuries were horrific.

After putting 5 children through school, amd everyday you worry about how safe these buses are, now I worry about my little grandbabies...All we hear is "how much its going to cost to install seatbelts", so what they are saying is our children's lives are not worth it.. I pray that they find the driver that caused this accident...

accident I do not understand why there are no seat belts in buses also...they say it is more dangerous..but I do not believe it. I was a school bus attendant for 7 years..we had seat belts (short bus) I can not count the times I was thrown out of my seat..but I was told NOT to wear the seat belt and that way I could get up faster in an emergancy....I concluded I would no doubt be knocked unconscience and be of no help to any child.

| It's a bus driver's worse nightmare too. I know I take as many precautions as possible. As far as the seat belts....I just don't know, kids hanging, blood supply cut off, you really just don't know which is the right thing. How do you choose (if they are in seat belts) who to cut loose first. What if the last one expires, what if you started at the other end and the last one you get to expires. It's a horrible situation to be in. I'm thankful that most bus accidents do not result in death. But my heart goes out to those families who lost their child.
