| This is why I shouldnt eat candy! My tooth just broke eating a piece of candy!!! It was a tooth that had a filling in it and a piece just broke off near the filling. It doesnt hurt though, isnt that wierd? Shouldnt it really hurt? Or does that come later? Im so terrified of dentist and I have the most sensitive teeth in the world so now Im totally freaked out because now Im going to have to go to the dentist and Ive been avoiding going to one for quite some time now.

| You could of had a small fracture in your tooth and it could have been anything you ate that would have done it! Hopefully your doctor can put another filling in there if not you may be looking at getting a crown! Sorry don't mean to scare you I am in the dental field If you choose to not get it looked at then yes it will start to hurt you in time, and it may be senistive to hot or cold.

Dang it! Since it doesnt hurt I was hoping to still avoid going to the dentist. Getting my teeth worked on really freaks me out. It feel so weird becuase it feel like a large chunk of my tooth is missing and my tongue wont quit touching it!! I really hope I dont have to get a crown.

| I know what you mean about not wanting to get your teeth worked on. I hope you've made a call into your dentist though, I think you should get it looked at before something else or something more happens. Be brave!

better get to the dentist...since your tooth broke and you had a filling in it. If you wait to long youll end up having to have a root canal. theyll probably do a crown. (yes i am a certified dental assistant by trade) | |

| Wow!!! This is surely one place you would love to have your Chloe or Tink on your lap...Forget about Petco or smuggling them into department stores. The dentist should be a free ride for our lap lovelies. P.S. Your gorgeous Penny might be pushing it |

| I feel for you! I did the same thing crunching ice and ended up with a root canal and crown because I was chicken and waited too long! Don't put it off too long!

| I'm in the same boat...I just broke a molar on the top left eating an m-n-m. If there's no damage close to the root you won't need a root canal you'll just need a crown. Crown's aren't bad at all but I'm not crazy about the goop they use to make the impressions... I have my temporary crown in right now but I go back on the 13th for the permanent crown. Find a dentist you're comfortable with and you won't be scared to go...I drive almost 90 miles one way to go see mine and he's worth every mile. |
