| I've had a few guinea pigs growing up. They're wonderful little fuzz balls. My favorite was my Dusty, he was such a love.

| We had guinea pigs when my son was small. Their names were Jezebel and GE(short for Gail Elsworth, my dad's name)and they were so much fun! I bred them twice, each time she had 4 babies. They were adorable! Guinea's have a pretty long gestation period for a rodent and the babies are precocial, meaning that they are haired up, eyes open and they can eat food right away. They are the cutest little fuz balls! They do nurse, but they will eat lettuce and other soft stuff right away. Have fun! |

| I do! If you get them, go to cavycages.com for tons of great info, and easy how-tos for GREAT cheap cages that give them all the room they need, and are easier to keep clean than those tiny petshop cages. Word to the wise: They multiply like crazy! If I remember correctly, the male can reimpregnate the female right after birth...and the baby boys can impregnate her at two weeks! Definitely get ready to do some separating, or you'll be over-run before you know it!

| I had a couple guinea pigs, but I'm really allergic to them so I had to give them to my sister. Then she got more so I couldn't even go into her room. One of them ended up dying last time they were out of town and I was housewatching. I went to feed him and saw he was about to die, and I just wanted to pick him up and hold him but I couldn't Make sure you keep your yorkie away! They do not like guinea pigs one bit!

| Just make sure you keep the cage really, really clean! Otherwise they stink horribly.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | That stinks. I had a what I thought was a female long haired GP for my dtr and i felt bad for it so I brought another female. Well turned out snowball living up to his name was a he. A few months later Brownie had 5 babies. I woke up to let my dog at the time out in the middle of the night and looked in the cage and here were all these babies. I did have to seperate the father right away. They all found good homes. They do stink if not cleaned every 1-2 days when you have a bunch.
