| Many people do not realise the food they feed their dogs maybe unhealthy or make them itch..... They see the great commercials and cannot imagine such a caring company would sell such bad food. If I have friends, neighbors....... who are feeding their dogs unhealthy foods I mention the whole dog journal list of top foods. Many are interested to learn about healthier choices for their pets, some are not. Some also think that these premium foods cost too much and are hard to find. I explain that it costs around the same as you feed more of the poorer quality foods per feeding. I also name a few of the locations that sell the better foods in our area and that many of the stores will let them have free samples to try. I am proud to say that almost all of their dogs are now eating healthy foods. YAY!!!! This is the Whole Dog Journal's picks for 2005. (I don't have the more recent list, sorry) They base their choices on quality of ingredients. All the choices are human grade except the nutro ultra, which is new in 2005. | Gina- It does have lots of products on the "to be avoided list". But many folks don't want to hear this - particularly since most of them get it from their Vet's office. I would proceed gently....

| I have such a hard time getting Hope to eat at all, she will only eat food if it is on the FLOOR, never out of a bowl.... she especially loves it when the hubby throws it on the floor... what a way to feed a pup when you have 5... how about wellness? the pet store here just changed everything to wellness... is it good for them?
