| Baby Alive Can you believe that the stores are already running out of certain toys before christmas? We spent the whole day Sunday looking for a Baby Alive doll that my 5 year old daughter really wants Santa to get her. They first came out in the 1970's and this year they have a brand new version. The first wal mart we went to used their talazon and scanned the code on the empty shelf and said it was on back order but the warehouse is currently out of them,so they dont know how long it might be before getting more in. To cut it short,we did finally find one at the 4th walmart we went to and put 2 of them in layaway just in case we needed it for another gift lol. So just to let everyone know.... the shopping has already begun,so if there is something out there ya really want, ya better get a move on.There disappearing!

| I don't have "little" girls anymore - mine are 10 & 12 - but your post brought back memories of those gifts that were so hard to find when they were little. You know, when they are that young and they ask Santa for something, you do just about anything to not disappoint them, don't you? Out of curiosity, I went to Ebay and looked at completed listings for the Baby Alive because knowing that they are backordered at stores, you KNOW people are taking advantage of it and selling the ones they've managed to find. The prices are outrageous! Just at a quick glance, I see some sold for $50-60 and higher! Also some that come with the accessories sold for $150!! That's surely the business to be in..... finding things that are hard for others to find and selling them on Ebay. Goodness! Glad you found the ones you did! And remember, if you don't need the second one...... Ebay!! cha-ching!!
