| One Nation Under God RAISING THEIR KID RIGHT! One Nation, "Under God." One day a 6 year old girl was sitting in a classroom. The teacher was going to explain evolution to the children. The teacher asked a little boy: Tommy do you see the tree outside? TOMMY: Yes. TEACHER: Tommy, do you see the grass outside? TOMMY: Yes. TEACHER: Go outside and look up and see if you can see the sky. TOMMY: Okay. (He returned a few minutes later) Yes, I saw the sky. TEACHER: Did you see God up there? TOMMY: No. TEACHER: That's my point. We can't see God because he isn't there. Possibly he just doesn't exist. A little girl spoke up and wanted to ask the boy some questions. The teacher agreed and the little girl asked the boy: Tommy, do you see the tree outside? TOMMY: Yes. LITTLE GIRL: Tommy do you see the grass outside? TOMMY: Yessssss! LITTLE GIRL: Did you see the sky? TOMMY: Yessssss! LITTLE GIRL: Tommy, do you see the teacher? TOMMY: Yes LITTLE GIRL: Do you see her brain? TOMMY: No LITTLE GIRL: Then according to what we were taught today in school, she possibly may not even have one! (You Go Girl!) FOR WE WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT" II CORINTHIANS 5:7 Don't forget to pass this on! I love this one. Everyone should send this to everyone they know, especially today with prayer restricted in schools. Pass on if you believe in GOD! |

| I hope it is a true story too!! Sad part is, that teacher would have sent her to the prinicpals office with a phone call to her parents! I liked an episode of "Family Matters" when Erkel said he believed in God even though he couldn't see Him. He explained it this way, "I can't see an atom, either!"

Yep! Coming from a Family Matters fan here back in the day, I remember that. Wish I had his "time machine/instant hottie changer" ...LOL! And you are right, in this day and age the teacher would have punished the child for saying she had no brain. Ashley actually had a teacher in second grade that I would swear didn't have one either. Not saying she wasn't an intelligent, educated lady...she just really had no clue how to deal with kids that young. 4th grade has been awesome so far. She has a male teacher this year...he's been the best so far. He seems to let the kids express themselves and doesn't bog them down with hours of homework every night like she had last year. Glad you all liked the little story. I know I did. Last edited by ButterflyYorkie; 09-26-2006 at 03:46 PM. | |
