| glycemic index I was just looking on-line for info on the glycemic index of foods & just wondered if anyone has had any success on this plan. I was mainly looking for diabetes purposes, but I hear it's helpful for weight loss, I see Nutrisystem uses this program |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I had a GREAT site for this - Jazzman.com but their old forum was hacked - they have a brand new one - but the info isn't as complete - it's people who are doing the Nutrisystems plan with or without the NS Food. South Beach Diet foods have about the same GI Count as the NS plan - http://www.south-beach-diet-plan.com...-food-list.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...glycemic_index THIS IS For Diabetes - you can download and print or read more on the site - http://www.diabetes-guide.org/glycemic-list.PDF I'm doing NS and have lost 15 lbs in 3 months (a miracle for me) and haven't felt like I was on a diet at all 10 more to go and I'll be a happy woman with normal sized boobs again well...not normal but not Dolly parton size either

| I was doing a quick check & I am very suprised where some of the foods I thought were good are acually not. Like corn flakes, puffed rice cereal, & parsnips are just like eating a bowl of sugar .And macaroni, which we are told is bad, is actually pretty good ( if you eat the right portion ).I am really surprised that a Snickers is considered alright to eat( of course that's only once in a while). |
