| Chihuahua is World's Smallest Dog A long-haired Chihuahua, only slightly longer than a box of matches, has been officially confirmed by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's smallest living dog by length. Danka the tiny dog has become Slovakia's biggest celebrity after receiving the title. The chihuahua measures just over 18 centimeters, or 7 inches, in length and weighs just 27 ounces, according to Guinness. The dog eats only 2.5 ounces of dog food a day. While there may be dogs that are lighter than Danka, the dog qualified based on length. The world's smallest dog in height is a Yorkshire Terrier that measured 3 inches to the shoulder in November 2002. The dog was photographed in Revuca, Slovakia with its owner. |

| Adorable!! But ... I would not want to have one that tiny! Even though Toto is 4 lbs., it's much easier to care for her than it was when she was 1 lb. 8 oz. when we brought her home!
