| New Family Member! So today my brother was walking to class when he found a little kennel...he, at first, thought it was an old one someone threw away until he heard horrifying scream sounds...he got closer and found a kitten. It was pouring down rain the last few days therefore this kitten was just soaked and he had two bad eye infections so his eyed were all gooed over. Without thinking my brother took the kennel, rushed home and got him to a vet that day. The cat's eyes were cleaned out, shots given and we were told it's a female approximately eight weeks old. Problem is I have asthma and am allergic to cats...so now we're trying to find this precious kitty a home. I can be around cats but not for any extended amount of time. Apparently our youngest Yorkie, Bubba, took a liking to him and immediately started cleaning him with his tongue and was found snuggling with him a couple of times and following him everywhere...almost like trying to keep an eye on the little guy. Tyke, on the other hand, has tried to nip at him. How on earth can someone just leave a little helpless kitten out in pouring rain like that? : Poor lil girl was left in her kennel just in the rain with nobody around. Luckily my brother was in the right place at the right time and has a heart of gold and without thinking immediatley took him in. If we can't find a home for it then I will look into allergy shots of some sort so the cat will always have a home. This is the second time one of my brothers has taken a cat in. The first one my brother, who goes to Ohio State, found this cat around a bunch of drunk people on High St (I think that's the name of the street?) and it was in bad shape...took it to the vet where they said he had been abused and neglected, got its shots, taken care of and now my brother has a new best frend at Ohio State with him. I just don't get how anyone can look a helpless little animal in the eye and just be likw "bye" and throw them somewhere. That infuriates me And when animal abusers are caught and punished it's usually a very minimal punishment So...I hope we find the little girl a home soon....I'm scared of needles and don't really want the shots unless I have to...but you do what you gotta do. Sissa

| This is how I got my cat. Someone abandoned him at the humane society in a box..........I volunteer there so came across it in the AM. Needless to say, I fell in love and brought him home. I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world. Anyone who has the heart to do this................is someone I don't want to meet Hope you find the kitty a good home soon!
