Donating YT 7000 Club Member | SO, this may be kind of a weird thread idea but... I need to make some money!! badly. and kind of quickly. The whole reason I started this thread is because I need suggestions! It's pretty hard for a 13 year old to get hired to do anything besides baby-sit. and I'm not feeling very creative tonight and that's the only kind of job I can come up with! does anyone have any ideas of something else that I could try doing? The reason I'm asking this is because there's a show opening in Chicago called Pirate Queen. and I'm dying to see it. Normally, I'd just wait until it comes to NYC (like any other normal person who lives this close to the city would lol.) But, someone I know on a message board is giving away 2 tickets in the front row for free! and the only things I have to pay for are the hotel room, rental car, and plane tickets. (it'll cost about $500 ) so does any one have any suggestions for ways that I could make money? it's much appreciated! (btw - I already asked my mom if we could sell my brother. that's a no-go )

| Hmm... are you crafty? When I was your age my friends and I would go to a craft store and get beads and other jewelry supplies and make cheap, but pretty baubles and sell them to our mom's friends. I'm sure you might even have some buyers here on YT. I used to also get my mom to pay me for doing HER chores. Lol. I think she was just trying to show me the value of a dollar, but you never know. Your mom might buy into it. Maybe you could consider mowing your neighbor's lawns or helping with some gardening or maybe even dog walking!! Good luck! Keep us posted on your progress!

| Since I don't know what your state has to offer, I would say like a car wash, walking dogs or cats or bake cookies and sell them close to a local store (with mom in the car to keep a eye on you) or like a party (with mom's o.k) and charge a small amount to watch dvd or what young lady likes to do. Good luck!!!!!

| I would put of flyers saying you will pet sit or walk people's dogs. Do you live in a neighborhood? That would be something great to do! People are always looking for good pet sitters. |

| Paper route, maybe? There's a 14 y.o. here that has an ad in the paper all the time offering to do any kind of yard work or odd jobs. If there are elderly people near you, you could offer to do things for them. If you live near a beautician, maybe you could clean up for her at the end of the day. Just some thoughts. As far as your brother, maybe you could just rent him out for awhile. Good luck!

| Can you collect cans, bottles and papers to take to a recycling center? You could get your friends' families and your family, etc to save them for you. Maybe the local retirement home or something would keep them for you. My brother used to do that when he was inbetween jobs. Don't ask.

| My girls always had a garage sale. For some reason I'm embarassed to have one, but I always contribute my unwanted junk. They had their first when they were your age or younger and have always made like $400.00! They are now 19 and 21 and I have a huge pile for them, but haven't been able to talk them into having one - Well, they talk about it and tell me not to call Goodwill, but don't seem to find the time to actually have one. |
