I was walking and I saw some trash on my hubbies nightstand and the trashcan was right by it and I am a multi-tasker well something turned the wrong way and i think i broke my dang toe!!! Has anybody else out there done bodily injury to their selves working out??? Please tell me so i don't feel like such a ninny... I told my hubby (he's offshore) and he laughed his a$$ off. I told him if he picked up after himself I wouldn't be in this predicament....he just laughed and told me not to forget to mow the yard!!! If I didn't love him so much there are days.....

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | See Megan !! I KNEW we were related somehow lol - I've broken THREE toes. One twice. We're both clutzes ! When you break your toe - you'll know it usually they are bent to the side at the joint.... and there is no way you can put pressure or shoes on that foot. Do you have one of those orthepedic shoes that strap on ? You are going to be in some pain. Our feet have the ONLY Bones in our bodies that support our FULL Weight ...and they can heal badly if you aren't careful. I have one middle toe that wasn't reset right and is very painful after a day of wearing the wrong shoes - or anything that touches it. The best advise I can give you if you don't go to the doctor -is to TAPE that toe as straight as you can to the toe next to it. That's what my doctor did when I broke one of mine really bad. |

| So sorry to hear that . Those little toes are very sensitive and seem to just stick out there. I went to paint my toe nails yesterday and noticed that my pinkie toenail was half off . I don't remember it being caught on something but the nail came off yesterday. Now my poor little toe is naked. Hope yours feels better.

| I've broken 3 toes, and boy does it hurt. I went to the doctor the first time He basically told me that the only thing to do for toes is to tape it to the toe next to it to help set it. Good luck! I know the pain thsat you are going through.

| Ouch - is right! So sorry to read this. I have never broken a toe but my youngest did a couple of years ago while playing at a friends house. Nothing you can do for a broken toe except buddy tape it to the next one. And you'll need to leave it taped for a few weeks - and V's suggestion of an orthopedic shoe is great! It will help provide support and will not be tight on your foot - you won't be able to wear a "regular" shoe for a couple weeks or so without it causing pain. Hope you feel better soon!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Ya'll jinxed me today - after reading this - I was pulling out a drawer on my dresser and the whole thing came out - thinking about my freakin TOES - I threw my leg against it trying to stop it from landing on my feet and took off an inch of shin skin and have a huge purple bruise. thank you so much !! No broken toes though man this hurts. |

| Join the club! I'm so sorry to hear about your toe! I sustained a stress fracture to one of the bones in my feet while working out on my treadmill. I have been in a boot cast for nearly one month, and may need to be in it for another two weeks. Please go see a podiatrist to make sure that the bone heals correctly. Take care!

| Sounds painful! My dad broke his pinkie toe once after one of his very heavy-set friend stepped on it by accident.

| ouchie for all of ya'll!!! i taped it to my other toe but wouldn't you know everybody and everything has "accidentally" whacked on it a time or two today. When my hubby is offshore i let my dtrs sleep with me and it seemed like they were trouncing on my toe in their sleep...i must have woke up five times last night hollering "ow..get off my toe!!!"-which woke all the dogs up and they would start howling and yelping and jumping all over us in the bed trying to get whoever was hurting their mommy!!! only two dogs sleep with us-sweet pea (chi) she's the queen of the house and whiskey(yorkie). Harley (weenie-rat) digs and claws holes in my sheets so she sleeps in her own bed and Pudge has a doggie mansion outside(it's huge-you could fit three grown men in there) oh and the cats like to get in bed with us too....talk about me hangin' off the edge of the bed. I knew I should have gotten a king-size bed ....
