| Help getting a blender I need help. My cheap blender just broke, yes I only paid 20 bucks for it, but the one before that one was a kitchen aid and we paid 100 dollars for it and after years it stopped working and of course the warranty had expired then, and to fix it it would be almost as much as I paid for it, then I bouhgt the cheapy one and that one lasted almost 2 years. I want to buy an Oster brand but my husband had one long time ago and he told me that they aren't as good.My mom has an Oster and she's had hers since I was little, is just the basic blender on and off botton, nothing else, that's why I thought about one of those. Any suggestions on what brand to get? Have you have your blender for a long time? what made you buy that brand? Am I asking to many questions? I just don't want to be buying blenders every 2 years! Any help would be appreciatted. I'm thinking about buying a new one this weekend.

| This is the one suggested by Consumer Reports for the best value. I bought it for my daughter, but it's in the closet for her birthday or Christmas so I haven't used it. Read the reviews - they're mixed. Don't know how long it will last reading the reviews, but it sounds like it is perfect for crushing ice and making smoothies in a creamy texture. After researching a lot of different brands I chose this one. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/cus...views.start=11 |

| I LOVE My KITCHEN AID blender. The motors are way heavier and better made then other blenders. I paid $100 for the first one last year and then last week my Home Depot had them on CLEARANCE because they were last years model for .....$20 ... so SHOOT I bought a SPARE

| Ok.... if your serious about Blending.... A Vita Mix is the only way to go!!! I can put other blenders in my Vita Mix!!! lol It was $400.00 But it came with a 7 year warrenty! and I had the option for an additional 3 years for $50.00 to make it 10 years!! They will run forever!!! I traded my old one in and got $75.00 Credit too!!! It was 25 years old!! And still worked like the day It was bought!!! It has a 2 horse power moter!!! Its serious!!! Its the LAST blender you'll ever buy!! You can Cook soup in it the Blades spin so fast that the friction from them will actually heat and cook your ingreediants in the jug!!! And cook soup right inside the blender!! Its not bull... It works! And you can make sorbet in it too!! Its so awesome!!!! I love it!!!! I would not trade it for the world!!!! But if you want an oster.... I have one I paid a hundred bucks for that I used twice... when I was out of town and NEEDED a blender.... Its just sitting under my Cabnet... its only a couple months old... And its got a glass jug....

| Well, we haven't had good experiences with Kitchen Aid blenders. They didn't last very long, and always left huge chunks unblended or un-pureed. For my wedding I received a CuisineArt blender and it's GREAT! I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever and it's been almost 2 years. Also, it blends stuff quickly and effeciently. My aunt has one too and she loves it as well. Good luck with whatever you choose
