| TRYING to sell a car! Wow, now I realize that I can never be a car salesman! So we've put our car up for sale getting ready for the big move. It's a '95 Maxima. My husband was VERY reasonable in putting it up for sale because it runs GREAT but it has some cosmetic problems (There aren't even any dents, just little bumps things here and there.) So he listed it in fair condition for $3,500 (I would have listed it under good for $4,500.) If he would have asked me before posting it we should have went with $4,000 I guess. So some guy calls this morning and he's telling me about how he's a marine and he needs to get his wife in a car because he's going to Iraq in 2 days. He says he has a mustang, but it's unreliable. He said that he can only give $2200 cash for it but he made me feel so bad because I'm a navy wife and I know what they're going through. So I have to figure out how to call him back and tell him that his offer isn't high enough. He also is a really fast talker, I just wish my husband was home so that he could take care of it. But we do need the money so we can't take that kind of loss on it. I know it has high miles (164,000k) but it runs great and we're just going by the KBB. I just hate sometimes how I have so much empathy for others and feel bad when I can't help them out. We have a baby on the way, are moving, and my husband still hasn't found a job yet. So I have to think about us first. And I guess the guy could be just saying that. I just wish that I had more of a backbone sometimes. I have never been good at making decisions or saying "no" to people. I hate selling cars! |

| I'm sorry, I would be the same way. I'm a sucker for a sob story and I always want to believe the best in people. It would e hard for me to call back and say no also. Crystal
