| Labrador Talk Ok, so hubby and I are looking into getting 2 labradors in the next couple of years when we get a backyard and such. So, I discovered that there is a LabradorTalk! (www.labradortalk.com) I posted my first thread on there introducing myself, but I STILL haven't gotten any replies. I guess I was just thinking it would be like YorkieTalk, but it is anything BUT! Oh well, I guess we'll see what comes of it!!!!!! While I'm on the subject, does anyone here know any excellent labrador breeders in the Southeast? |

I will go check out labradortalk ... i used to visit a Dutch labrador forum before we decided to get one, i have to admit, it was the unfriendliest forum out there!! They made me feel like crap, because i had questions? Some were so rude in their replies, they made me laugh out loud!! They formed clicks and there's no way they make an outsider feel like they belong there LOL... so i was not welcome there, in my last post i told them what i thoughts of them, and never been back!

Makes me want to go sign up to Keyboard-Smack them I can't help with a lab breeder but I LOVE labs..they're like the sweetest big dogs out there. I have a feeling other breed related sites don't have as much action as the small breeds because we're WAY More nuts & obsessed than they are. I doubt you'll see any labs running around dressed to the nines wearing Bows and Bling LOL - we have WAY more to talk about with Yorkies

| I might be able to help with breeder info when you're ready for labs, depends on what you are looking for. And by that, I mean just a pet to love and lavish attention on or will he/she be used in hunting (i.e. ducks, blood trail trained to track deer, etc.). I have a couple of close friends that I can get excellent info for you when you're ready, just depends on what you're looking for And I'm sorry you were treated that way at the other board. How dare they!!! They are truly missing out on getting to know a wonderful person! Suzi

Oh Suzi, That would be WONDERFUL!!!!! I looked on www.breeders.net and found some breeders in my area. I am really more interested in how they "look" than the hunting and field trials (although my hubby would beg to differ ). The colors I am looking for are "white" (But I understand saying you want a "white" lab is like saying you want a "teacup" yorkie...they just don't exist...they are just "really light" yellow labs), and a really really dark chocolate lab, a liver color. I found a website of a breeder who has GORGEOUS white labs, but I have yet to find someone who has a really really dark chocolate lab. Do you know anyone who has any of these colors? Thank you SOOOOO much for talking to me about this!

| As a matter of fact, I do!!! His are true champions....and real beauties We had a chocolate lab that we had gotten from another friend of ours - sweetest thing you could ever meet! But we waited too late to work with him and he just didn't follow the commands DH was trying to teach him so he became a much loved pet. Alas, he was striken with a heart problem the vet didn't catch and passed away of a heart attack at the age of 6 So, DH and I are debating on when to get another one because we ARE going to get one, just not sure of timing. But the guy I know lives here in town and is very good friends of ours. If he doesn't have any chocolates when you are ready, he WILL know of someone who does that he can recommend. Just let me know when and I'll start the "hunt" for ya

Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | Good luck to you in getting your labs!! We have a black lab we searched everywhere for a chocolate lab but we just couldn't find one so we drove a hour and a half to a shelter and picked up our lab Snickers he was still a puppy and the whole litter was just dropped off they were about 4-6 months old we seen him and had to bring him home. We have also adopted 2 cats and Peeka is our first non shelter purchase. But the labs are very loving but very slobbery and watch out for the tail it's deadly and forget about putting anything on a coffee table when they around it will be on the floor lol but we love him anyway. He's my hubby's dog i like the smaller animals (cats and Peeka) But i do enjoy snickers to. Hope you find your babies soon
