| I have a favorite I'll share!! The name of it is "Valminor". I actually keep the label in my wallet because I don't buy it too often (because my best friend always keeps a large stock of it in their wine closet and that's where I usually drink it) but when I do buy it, I can't seem to remember the name. It's actually just a not-so-well-known (to me anyway) Spanish wine (white) that not all smaller liquor stores will have in stock. She buys it at Central Market (I think that's an HEB store) but a liquor store in my town will order it for me whenever I want it. The whole labels says "Albarino white wine Valminor 2003 Rias Baixas". I'm not crazy about Chardonnays and don't like red wines at all. This is a not-so-sweet white wine. Gotta say that I don't really qualify as a "wine connosieur" (sp?) because my dad works for Anheuser Bush and that's what was always in our house. My current favorite of theirs is Michelob Ultra but I love Bud Ice Lite too. It was my best friend that turned me on to wine instead but I'm still not a big drinker. She calls me a lightweight because one full glass gets me giddy as hell! Try it and let me know what you think!

I think I'm going to call Beverages and More to see if they have it. If so, I'll swing by today and give it a try this weekend. It sounds great!

I'm not very picky when it comes to white or red, I like them both. As for price range, well I don't want to spend an arm and a leg, but if it is something that is beyond amazing I wouldn't mind spending a lot.

A white wine that I am obsessed with, but is a little pricey, is Cakebread. I like the chardonnay, which is around $40-$60 a bottle. This stuff goes down like water. LOVE LOVE LOVE it! This is also for somewhat of a special occassion. Another EXCELLENT mid-priced wine is Marilyn Merlot. There is a whole collection with different bottles for different years. The bottles are collectables. Not only are the bottles SUPER cute, but the wine is amazing! I love it! It is around $20-$40 per bottle, depeding on the year, ect. As for lower priced wines, I like Smoking Loon (red), Barefoot (white & red), Yellow Tail (red), Fat Bastard (red) and my all-time favorite inexpensive wine.....Schmitt Sohne Riesling Blue Bottle. It is a little sweet, but very light. I LOVE it. | |

| Forgot to add that the price of the Valminor I told you about is around $17. My friend gets it for around $14 because they buy it by the case. It's not your cheap Boones Farm (sp?) but it's not a bad price in general, I don't think. And yes, that blue bottle Riesling that the previous poster talked about is pretty good. It's a little sweet for me but still a good one.

| I'll drink wine once in awhile, don't know the names of what it is that I drink though, but champagne, that's what I'm talking about!!! Too bad I made the mistake of trying very expensive champagne, now it's my favorite but I can't afford it, lol

| I'm not a true wine drinker but love a glass once in a while. I like the light sparkling wines. A good Lambrusco is my favorite.

| My favorite is Beaujolais-Villages, Louis Jadot. It is Red Burgundy and French (if you hadn't guessedt that from the name) It is very very slightly sparkly. I love it. We get a bottle for 12 dollars or so around here, so it's not that expensive. I also discovered a bottle of fruity pink Italian wine recently, but cannot recall the name. It has the picture of a blond girl walking a pink poodle on it. Yummy.
