| Hungry... So today I'm having my final two wisdom teeth pulled (I had the other two removed about 7 years ago!) I'm really nervous because I did not want to have general anesthesia (I've had it a few times before and I always end up really sick, and have a hard time waking up) but the oral surgeon said because it is impacted, and not only that, it has decided to grow backwards instead of forwards, they really need me out. So... I'm not to happy about it and quite nervous and HUNGRY!!! My appt isn't until 5:00 and since you're not allowed to eat prior to surgery, I have to go the whole day w/out eating! Yikes!!! |

| Good luck to you!!! Can you maybe have some hot tea in a nice flavor like peppermint to help tide you over?

| I wish because boy that sounds nice!!! I'm only allowed sips of water w/the meds prescribed. On the bright side, I probably won't feel like eating much tomorrow either... maybe not the next day either, so at least I may lose a few lbs!!! |

| I'm really bad with anesthesia, too. I get really sick. I had to get my bottom ones out and they sound like how yours are. I was really worried about it, but I was surprised at how simple it was! They numb you up so much that you are not going to feel a thing after surgery. For the few days after surgery, I ate mac & cheese and mashed potatoes. I was 100% about 3 days after surgery. I am sure you will be fine! Now, as for your hunger right now, I can't offer any words of advice. Sorry |

I better be 100% by Thursday (that's when I hafta go back to work!). It's funny because I can't remember how I did (other then getting sick from the anesthesia) w/my last extractions. So... I guess it couldn't of been tooo bad, right? LOL. | |

| Tell your anesthesiologist first thing when you get there that you get sick from the anesthesia. He will give you something to prevent that! I ALWAYS get sick, but when I got my wisdom teeth out I told them this and they gave me something. That was the first time I had never gotten sick from anesthesia!!!!!! They have all sorts of meds that they can give you to prevent you from getting sick |

| devoted to Lucy! You're a brave soul! I still have 2 w teeth left. My dentist keeps on me about getting one of them removed. (Bottom left & impacted) I finally told him that when it bothers me, I'd bother it! Hope all goes well with you. It'd be great if the dentist can give you something to keep you from getting sick. I'd definitely check on it. Kim & Lucy |

| i had all 4 of my wisdoms cut out it's been 2 1/2 years they knocked me out /put me to sleep are they going to put you to sleep? i didn't really fell anything until what they knocked me out with wore off .i got VERY sick /hurting..but with the pain med subscrip. it helped alot! they even had to put in sitches in mine .my side of my face and neck were all bruised ,but it went away .it seemed like forever. then i got a root canal & crown yikes ,then braces all within like 2 months ugh. but it's better to get them out now while you can before they damage other teeth. tell them local makes you sick ask about other options. good luck though!

| I will be put to sleep-sleep so that's not what I'm looking forward too... When I had the other wisdom teeth out, it hurt/bothered me so much that I swore I would leave the other two in to rot! But... for the past few months they're been really, really bothering me and the area surrounding the tooth keeps getting infected so I know I need it out. Thanks again for all your well wishes! 3 hours to go... Perhaps I should shower and get ready! LOL. At least the hunger pains have subsided... |

| I feel your pain. i had 3 pulled out in one sitting, two of which were impacted. I had about 4 shots given to me to numb the area and was fully awake when it happened. Didn't feel a thing other than a dull pulling sensation. The impacted one was so tough to get out, it flung across the room when it was out!! The dentist showed them to me afterwards, totally gross . I was sore a bit after the novocaine wore off, my face was a bit swollen and couldn't eat hard food for about 2 days. I survived on mostly cream of wheat and ice cream. I am praying for ya, and you should be fine. The best part is, no more infections and pain after all this is over. Good luck!!
