| I would never pay more then a house appraised for. Whatyour agent really was saying when she said the house RE -APPRAISED... was that they pressured the appraiser to make the price higher so they could get the sale. I would have told the people selling the house they had to come down $2000 because the house didn't appraise for the price. if your contract was written correctly (which I assume it was), you are left an option of backing out if the house doesn't appraise. You should have used this to your advantage . Did your agent discuss this option with you or just go and do the reapraisal to get the sale?????

| I believe it was reappriased, technically the VA guy never turned the appraisal in, he called the lenders this morning and said 193 and then he called my agent and said he pulled comps from the neighborhood next to ours the first time and then that neighborhood the second time and readjusted because the size of the house we want is a little smaller then most in the area. Our agent did tell us we should try and get it for less, but that was before the VA guy called and said he reappraised (we didn't ask him too, as far as I know)... Does this sound wrong? We are new to this |

An appraisal is just an educated guess. And two different appraisers can come up with very different figures. It's just a number that the banks need, other than that it just puts you in the ball park. Basically a house is worth what a person is willing to pay for it. There is no scientific way to figure it. | |

| Were really excited about this house, it has a nice size back yard, and since we aren't in AK anymore there are no more eagles to worry about! I used to go outside with our babies everytime they had to even go potty. Plus the kids are really excited since they might get a trampolene! |

I think I STILL would have used this to my advantage and felt out if the buyers would have matched the appraisel. I also think their agent should have discussed options with them... WHICH SHE MAY WELL HAVE. Personally I have been known to overpay for a house or two in my time...JUST BECAUSE I LIKED IT Yo know.. Like the darned one I'm sitting in NOW...LOL I paid for a VIEW... which is worth ZILCH on paper.

YEAH for a tramoplene.. best money I ever spent. Kids have fun and get exercise at the same time. They can be dangerous though so splurge on an enclose and make sure kids know the rules for jumping
