| I was thinking about it for a while, but never did. I would say 'go for it'. If you don't you might regret it. Good luck!

| You should definately go for it!!!! I was in a pagent called Jr. Miss when I was a senior in high school. It was SO fun and I met so many girls that I am still friends with now (I'm 22 now). You should do it just for the experience! |

| Definitely go for it. I am sure you would have a bunch of fun. I agree that you might regret it if you don't, and wonder what if...

| You guys are great. Like my own personal cheerleading squad. I am nervous though, I don't want to be like a fish out of water. I am already planning on hiring a personal trainer and a pageant consultant just to get a little boost of help. I need some goals in life now that I have finished college, found a career and got married. This is going to be my goal. Plus, it is a reason to get in shape!! |

| i say go for it! but they don't always pick the most beautiful! the attire and walk are also very important, you also may have interviews and so on.photogenic they like face /head shots mainly. hiring a pageant trainer is a great idea but it's going to all be very expensive! i use to put my little girl in pageants before she was 2 and i would get really angry because they didn't seem fair to me..but what do i know eh? there were moms that were curling their under 1yr babys hair and using more spray than i do! they also seem to lean more towards the most expensive outfits/made up entrys also. i didn't over do all that for my toddler because i didn't think she needed it. she did get a few titles and nothing else can compare to the feeling of winning but nothing else can feel like not even placing either when you know you deserve it! good luck!! my baby girl she's 3 now http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/749...ures033gb4.jpg http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/8...ures003za1.jpg |

| Yep, I did it!! I will confess!! Many years (well not THAT many) and quite a few pounds ago I competed in the Miss America program to earn scholarships for school. After that I did a little contestant coaching and judging locally. I still LOVE watching pageants, although the only ones I pick that get in the top 5 are with the Miss America program. I still haven't figured out the Miss USA/Universe/World thing!! I get the Jr. Miss stuff fairly close as well. SO, I say GO FOR IT!!! Hire yourself a good personal trainer, get swimsuit ready, and find a killer wardrobe. Work on your interview skills (I will try to remember the CDs I used) current events, and most of all HAVE FUN!! PM me for any advice or assistance as I still try to stay current, although I don't have time to judge now. I'd love to help. Good luck!!
