| Great Idea for Burglar Alarm Besides having our barking Yorkies as alarm systems, I just recieved this by email and thought it was a good idea. Here's a good tip from a "neighborhood watch coordinator." I think it's an excellent idea. Never thought of it before now, but will make it a nightly habit. Keep your car keys next to your bed on the night stand. When someone is trying to get into your house, or if you hear a noise outside your house, just press the panic alarm on your key to set off the car alarm. It will go off from most everywhere inside your house and keep honking until your battery runs down or until you reset it with the button on the key chain. A lot of burglars will cut your telephone line before breaking in so this is a real good idea.

| Thanks for the tip . . but I don't think my hubby will go for the car keys . . he is a neat freak and wants all the keys in the keybox holder . . . same area where my furbabies are sleeping (laundry room). We do have a central alarm system but we never turn it on anymore too lazy we also live in a private cul-de-sac and the neighborhood is very, very safe. |
