Donating YT 7000 Club Member | *sigh* forgive me while I complain/vent/whatever... I'm not really expecting anyone to actually read this...I just need somewhere to vent my feelings at. this is pretty much the go-to place lol. baisically it all comes down to this: I want more than anything in the world to be on Broadway someday. I love singing and acting so much, words cant even describe. But lately I've been feeling like I just won't be able to. like I'm not good enough. I'm finally starting to outgrow the stage where I'm scared to sing infront of people....so I guess I'm making improvement. sometimes I just wish I could fast forward to the future, just so that I don't spend all of this time dreaming about something that might never happen. I know that people always say, "You can do whatever you want in life as long as you put your mind to it." but that's not really the case here.....I mean, you've gotta have raw talent to make it on stage...and I just dont know if I have that. |

| Hi Megan , The most important thing I learned in life is never doubt of myself . When I was a child , I wanted to be a vet but peoples kept telling me that it was stupid to even think to be a vet . I became a vet assistant but wasn't really happy with this situation so I applie to the vet exam at the university . Guess what , in September , I'll be studying to realize my dream . I really hope the best for you . |

| Megan, are you being professionally taught? Honey, wishing doesn't make it so. You have to WORK to get what you want! Are you working with a teacher? You will need a lot of training to get to Broadway. It sounds to me as though you really do feel you have the basic talent, so now you need to find someone who can teach you the skills you will need. Ask your music teacher for a vocal teacher referral. Study hard. Do the research! Here's a person who has your same goal! http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=1006042117653 And here is a school. http://www.broadwaytraining.com/ It's all about the effort you want to put in! You will need to work hard, have the determination, and put 110% into all you do. GO FOR IT! And when you are in your first show, I expect tickets!!!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | MEGAN - don't give up your dream - take it from me - I used to be a Diver....you know - the Greg Louganis kind on the Diving Board ? - and gave it up in my late teens - I TRULY REGRET IT - I always had dreams of the Olympics but discovered boys instead lol - KEEP WITH IT - you do not need to be Born with Talent to be on Broadway - you just need to perfect the talent you DO have.... Look at Larry Bird the Basketball player - the guy looks like the biggest Clutz born - he had to work EVERYDAY to play his game - he was not born with natural talent ....yet is a legend now.... |

| Hi Megan- I agree you need to get professional training and then practice, practice and practice some more. Our dreams are very important, but only hard work will ever get us there. My daughter (age 21) wants to be a professional Polynesian dancer at a Luau on one of the Hawaiian Islands. She continues with her lessons and is making contacts. For Spring break 2007, she plans to go and connect with some the contacts, and then following graduation in April, plunge in and see what happens. Only time will tell. Good luck to you. Never give up!!

| Megan, I forget how old you are, but I am assuming that you are pretty young. You have some choices to make. First you must decide to turn your dream of being on Broadway into a GOAL of being on Broadway. Then you can start taking the steps to help you reach your goal. Be sure that you plot a course with stepping stones close enough that you can step from one to another and not have to either take a huge flying leap and land safely or fall to your death. Sounds like finding the name of a voice teacher is a step. Have you actually called her yet? That would be another step in the right direction. What about setting up an appointment to see the Voice Teacher? That is yet another step.... and all of those steps are well within your ability. GO FOR IT!!! AND GOOD LUCK. ....and keep us posted on your step by step progress! |

| geez Meggie...that's ALL that's bothering you? You have nothing to worry about...you will make it happen and there will be thousands of YT members sitting in the audience for your debut. We will check Mike for tomatoes before curtain time..... Are there any community theater productions going on around you? They're almost always happy to have volunteers to help out with stuff and it's a great way to get a foot in the door and sniff the greasepaint. break a leg

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Megan just work at your drea. If it happens it does if it doesn't you at least gave it your all and will have no regrets. Also life is too short to wish away your time. Enjoy your youth as it goes all to quickly. Just look at it as the time to take the necssary steps to realize your dreams and one day you will be able to look back at the wonderful memories. Break a leg!

| Dont give up on your dreams Megan, Train and prepare...don't think negative. You must think you are the best and prepare. Oprah says that you must be prepared when an opportunity comes your way. that is just it...being prepared when that door opens and opportunity to make your dreams come true! |

| absolutely agree with everyone, DREAM and Go AFTER IT. Live and breath like you want it more than air and water...do everything you can, nothing in life is handed to us...and when the time comes for the dream to come true, you will be so proud of yourself and the work you've put in to make your dream come true!!

| I don't believe that anyone is just born with perfected talent. You may have it, but you have to work hard to bring it to the surface, perfect, and improve it. To do that, you have to have desire and passion for you goal. Sounds like you have that. And don't fast forward too fast, you will skip past alot of very good lessons along the way if you do. |
