| I would send a card and flowers. It is what I would want considering that all of my dogs have been part of the family. I think it would be a nice gesture on your part.

| I would stick to a card and flowers personally. But I'm no good in these situations either.

| I wouldn't know about sending flowers. I've never sent flowers to someone that wasn't in the same state as me. If I need flowers sent to a family member in Kansas I just have another family member in Ks. do it for me. Is it hard to send flowers in Maui?

| i tried once and it was difficult. basically sending anything to maui is expensive and a pain in the a$$. most stuff goes by container ship and sending things by air is so expensive. i sent my niece some dvd's and it took 3 weeks and cost $30. for 2 dvd's! |

| yupper.... having family off the mainland sucks. i don't think my sister considered family emergencies and need of immediate emotional support when she moved to maui. my niece was attacked by a shark in february and i got the next flight out. it took me 2 days b4 i could get there. i felt like i couldn't breath til i got to her. |

| Yep, I totally understand that one. I will have to keep that in mind if my sister were to want to move off the mainland. I think I would definitely have to stop her!lol

| My sister and I both live in Ok and the rest of our family is in Ks. I am very close to my sister that lives down here with me. She quit her job and moved down here so I wouldn't be alone. She is very kind and takes great care of me when I need someone. She is not only my sister but my best freind.
