| Has Anyone Else Noticed Hello , we live in England and my husband and I lately have noticed on and off problems with major servers, Yahoo, ebay, Microsoft, Google, ect. It isn't all the time, but when it happens the page states cannot find server, this goes on for quite a few hours, sometimes we get to the site but the pictures dont show only the text.My Husband is a computer technician, and finds no faults in either of our pc's , so my question is, has anyone else been noticing these type problems on the net? Is there a known reason for this in the USA that maybe we just havn't been told about here, are they doing Major server upgrades or servicing at the Major sites such as i have listed? Is there a hacker on the loose targeting these bigger places? We are both able to go to smaller sites such as Yorkie talk, my bravenet, ect.....just well known major sites seem affected by whatever this is.Anyone else who has noticed or has any comments, please let us know. Thanks

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I think the problem is with your internet provider. The only time I receive error messages is when Verizon is down or doing something. Btw, I hate when that happens....LOL.

| I think it's your internet provider. You might want to check with them. Your avatar is really fast! Super cute pictures. Here, hope you don't mind I slowed it down a little so we can see that very cute face.

| Not Provider I would normally agree with you, but if it was my provider we wouldnt be able to go to the hundreds of other pages that we can, it is exclusively the bigger name sites I listed that are doing this, I can go to all other pages and sites, and like I said it's not constant, just that when it happens it happens for hours. We are on broadband cable, we have a package of internet, t.v. and phone, all three are broadband from the same provider, we have checked with them and our neighbors using this service, so we know it's not the provider. Thanks for slowing it down!

| It sounds like a DNS Server issue (or possibly, but less likely, spyware). You may want to change your DNS servers to something else and see if that fixes the problem. Here's a link on how to do it in Windows XP: http://www.mediacollege.com/computer/network/dns.html Here's a list of DNS servers that you could use, you only need to choose two: Verizon (Level3) Nameservers 4.2.2.1 4.2.2.2 4.2.2.3 4.2.2.4 4.2.2.5 4.2.2.6 SpeakEasy Nameservers 66.93.87.2 216.231.41.2 216.254.95.2 64.81.45.2 64.81.111.2 64.81.127.2 64.81.79.2 64.81.159.2 66.92.64.2 66.92.224.2 66.92.159.2 64.81.79.2 64.81.159.2 64.81.127.2 64.81.45.2 216.27.175.2 66.92.159.2 66.93.87.2 ORSC Public Access DNS Nameservers 199.166.24.253 199.166.27.253 199.166.28.10 199.166.29.3 199.166.31.3 195.117.6.25 204.57.55.100 Sprintlink General DNS 204.117.214.10 199.2.252.10 204.97.212.10 Cisco 128.107.241.185 192.135.250.69 |
