Donating YT 30K Club Member | Anyone know anything about Pergo floors I am so upset. I have Pergo (unilock) wood laminate floor throughtout my kitchen, breakfast area and halls and last night the wind blewa big potted plant over on the breakfast area floor and I picked it back up but didn't realize that water had spilled on the floor under the plant. My husband went to put the plant outside tonight and the floor boards are lumpy and warped looking. I have extra planks but I don't know if you ca just replace a couple?

| pergo I have Pergo also...we had a kitchen leak that ran along the floor boards area..it is slightly warped..the man said it could be repaired. He would take up the boards from the wall out.. about the widith of two boards..it was an expensive repair...so I put a cabinet on that wall and it is not visiable..of course if the warped area is in the middle of the floor that is a bigger repair..but they can repair anything the man from Home Depot said... |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Thanks The area ruined is the 2 boards closest to the wall. I am in the process of getting new carpeting and the place I am going through is the same place that put the floor in so when I go tomorrow to take back the samples I will ask how much it will cost. I have the extra boards. I just didn't know if it could be fixed.

| I'm not familiar with this type of flooring yet, but you might ask the people that repair it for you if there is some kind of a sealer you could put on it to prevent this from happening in the future. Just a thought. We are actually getting ready to put laminate flooring in my sons room and we were going to check into sealing it too.

| If it is the snap lock kind, you should be able to replace a couple of boards. Thing is, if you don't have enough of the boards left over to replace the damaged ones and the flooring has been discontinued, you will have to replace the whole room. We work a lot of claims that involve laminated flooring and they can't repair it because the pattern is not manufactured anymore! You may have to file a claim with your homeowners insurance and get it fixed that way. It was direct, sudden and accidental and should be covered by your insurance policy.
