Donating YT 14K Club Member | I BIT My TONGUE!!!!! OH, LORDY!!! STUPID PEOPLE SHOULD NOT SPEAK...EVER!!!!!!!! Grrrrrr!!!!! So, I go into my vet's office to get some Frontline Plus. Even with treated lawn, we've gotten a couple of fleas...YUCK! So, there is a young couple in there that has a yorkie in their lap...a small one ("teacup"). I told the receptionist that I wanted ONE tube and to please do the calculations on doses so that I could take care of all 3 dogs with 1 tube ($19) instead of buying 3 tubes ($57). The receptionist asked for the weights of my dogs. I tell her, "Rebel is 4 1/2 lbs and Gracie & London are 5 1/2 lbs". OMG!!!!!! I hear these stupid people talking to their dog..."Well, you're not near as big as her dogs! She's got BIG dogs! You're a tiny!!" WTF????? Okay...this isn't the first time this has happened. I remember taking Gracie in to a vet around 10 months of age. She weighed 4 1/2 lbs. This lady said, "WOW! She's HUUUUUGE!" So, back to today...I bit my tongue and didn't show my a$$ like I wanted to but someone PLEASE tell me! Since the craze of owning tinies or "teacups", people think that 4 - 4 1/2 lb dogs are sasquatches or something. Since when is a 4 1/2 lb dog a BIG dog???? Sometimes, I just want to slap the **** out of stupid people!

| Sissy is considered a "tiny" - she is tiny in size, but weighs 4 lbs. A friend of mine has a yorkie who is 4 1/2 lbs, but much larger in size. But I would never consider him huge, nor would I ever say that about another dog. There are always going to be rude people - no matter what. Whether it be size or breed, some folks will always have an opinion that basically says "my dog is better than your dog". We all know our babie are special - so just keep reminding yourself of that and nevermind what anyone else thinks!

| txshopper73- I cracked up at your "WTF". Itotally understand about the 5lb.elephant remarks. My Jack is 5lbs. also, and when I look at him he's so tiny to me. I see this same kind of attitude on this forum also. I remember seeing a post saying they could'nt imagine carring around a 5lb. dog all day because it would get heavy for them. For petes sake a new born baby weighs 6-8lbs.I just shake my head and have a little chuckle. |

| Wow Kimberely... if yours are "BIG" then mine are elephants. Man!!! 10-11 lbs. I bet those people would flip out. OHHHH well, I love my boys, and I like their "pigginess" . But I do hate people's ignorance and am with you on this one. They need to get over themselves because your dogs are NOT big! I think they are precious!!!

Donating YT 14K Club Member | You know, I feel bad for those that own the tinies and they feel discriminated against. But what about owning standards and being discriminated against? It's a two way street. I think tinies are precious and I'd love to have one. However, don't talk **** about my dogs just because you own a tiny. Am I making sense?

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali is 4 1/2 lbs and I have never seen a smaller dog in person, so I don't know where people think that 4 1/2 5 1/2 lb dogs are big. All my neighbors haven't seen Cali since last fall when she was a baby and they all say wow she got huge. Huge she's 4 1/2 lbs? People are ignorant

| Well, if your furbabies are HUGE at 4-5lbs, then how do I describe Baby at between 7-8lbs? LOL These people are ignorant. They know nothing about Yorkies....they just buy then because "t-cups" and "purse babies" are the hot commodity now. Everytime a child sees my dog, they think she is a puppy b/c she's small. Then I say, no this is how big she will get. And they get all excited! I LOVE the size of Baby...I love her tummy. I give it kisses in the morning when she turns over for me to rub her belly.
