| My son is home from Iraq !!! Yesterday we went to the homecoming celebration for my son. He just returned home from an 18 month deployment. (12 months in Iraq). Wow the reception these soldiers received was remarkable. Even he was surprised at the turnout. And when we got home Kobe was waiting with tons of kisses. What a perfect day. |

| That is wonderful news. I am happy for you all. As a military mother who has been in your shoes, I know how it feels to see them leave, the enormous worries while they are gone and the great welcome they get when they return. I can't wait until they all return home. Enjoy your time with him. give lots of hugs and kisses. such special and brave young men!

| How proud you must be of your son!! Nothing soothes a mother's heart like having your children close by!! Let him know how much we all appreciate him and all that he's done.

| CONGRATULATIONS!!!! To you and to your son!! Please thank him for me for his service. I was in the Navy and was stationed aboard a Destroyer in the Persian Gulf during the first Iran-Iraq conflict in '87-'88. While serving on a ship doesn't compare to being on the ground, we did lose 15 sailors when the USS Stark was fired on by Iran and we retalliated by blowing up several of their oil platforms. It was a very tense time as the possibility of becoming fully involved in the conflict loomed over the incident. Anyway, thank him for his service!! And I'm so happy that he returned safely!!
