| I can't believe what I just saw on The Simple Life Okay, so I don't usually watch it but my sister had told me to turn it to that channel for something else and it was left on. Everything they do is staged and to me is an insult to people who make a living doing those jobs. Anyways, I just saw a kid, very young, probably 2 years old garring around Paris's tiny dog Tinkerbell. I NEVER let kids carry the dogs. He took her over to his swingset and pushed her onto the top. She stood there for a minute and then he shoved her off and the terrified dog slid down the slide onto the ground. You can tell that she was shook up. My 3 year old son just happened to be watching and he goes, "Wow, that kid is cool." I told him, "NO! You NEVER do that to a dog! That is NOT funny!" I can't believe they put something like that on tv. I can't believe that the cameraman just watched it happen, they shouldn't have let a 2 year old boy even carry the dog much less push her down the slide. Thank god that dog didn't fall off and get hurt. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I wouldn't even waste my time watching that show - I've seen the previews and just can't believe the dumb stuff on tv - the sad part is - Teen girls idolize those rich 'celebs' (can't post the word I want to use) and THAT is scary stuff. I thought they should change the name of the show to THE SIMPLE MINDS ...but Hilton is a great marketer of her own self - she is probably pretty smart - just makes a ton of money playing dumb.

| IS the show real or fictious? To the creator of this thread, you did a great job on telling your son that this is not funny and you teach him the right thing. I mean really, that is good parenting, because imagine if a child was happily playing on a swing and a person shove him to the ground, do you think it is funny? And any answers to my question? Answers greatly appreciated. And by the way, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Simple_Life Last edited by The_game; 04-29-2006 at 04:22 AM. |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Well you know Paris doesn't even care about that poor dog in the first place. She just wanted Tinkerbell as an "accessory." poor baby

| The show must be staged as Paris and Nicole don't even talk to each other or like each other. What some people will do for money

| Well look at it this way, TV is fake, it's a money maker. We watch TV shows to relax, They air the shows they think people will watch. The only real show you can count on is the News. And sometimes even they get it wrong. Sports are great, if you like them OH well, if you don't like to watch TV, don't, I don't spend much time with it. I like to spend my time on YT

| Too much of it is fake, but the part about the toddler putting Tinkerbell on the top of the slide and pushing her off was totally real. Thank god she didn't get hurt, but she did look very shaken up. Her bones are so tiny and could easily break. Plus that is horrible to teach people, teens, or kids that are watching. |
