| UPDATE: Rachel, BellaBear'a memorial So I'm sure most of you are wondering what has been happening. I have been tirelessly trying to contact rescue groups and such but have been getting the run around. They all say they have to discuss with their board, ect, ect and then I have to recontact them because they no longer responded, then they didn't know what I was talking about. So if anyone currently has a contact at a yorkie rescue who would be willing to work with me or you, please let me know. I can't imagine why they would have to chew it over for so long since we're not asking them to donate to her cause, we want to to donate to theirs. I don't get it But I assure you all I'm still working on it, as Rachel would have loved this. I have not heard from her b/f James. I'm sure he's going through a tough time so I'm giving him some space.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Sweetie...that's so awesome of you to do for your friend. IMOM is a great way to offer help. Go see this site. http://www.imom.org/ They are always needing donations....AND they post right on the site where the donations go....They are a NO Euthanasia site for those people who have sick dogs and need help with medical bills. Just take a minute and read their home page and they DO write back - I made a donation a few years ago and they were wonderful |

| Nobella, I have rescue contacts too But I am thinking you would prefer a CA group, yes? Thanks for everything you are doing, honey. You are such a good friend, and I am sure Rachel would be very proud of you.

| Thanks ladies. I appreciate your help. If you could please PM me with any contacts that would be great. The people get real happy about donations until I would ask that they be made in Rachel name through a link on their site. That's when they get all crazy "ignore" tactic on me..So hopefully I will get through to someone. It really doesn't matter if the rescue is in CA or another state. I had been contacting the one's in CA but at this point I don't think it matters. Thanks ladies, you're wonderful

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | The Rescue contact is on the way and hopefully you can get some more to choose from - the contact I sent you may have other good contacts - possibly in the state you're in..... good luck Nobella ! I think it's wonderful what you're doing.

| Nobella, I PMed you too. You have to figure SOMEONE in one of the Rescue groups would figure out how to do what you are asking. It would come in handy for any other memorials folks wanted to set up in the future! And I agree with V! If ANYONE can help you, it's our friend CINDY!! HUGS again, Nobella sweetie. YOU ROCK TOO!!

| I tried to post this last night but YT was down. Nobella - I think what you are running into is that most rescue organizations are not website programmers and it could cost them a lot of $$$ to do what you want to do. I know with companies that I work with it costs $250.00 for someone to come in and re-program their online website to change one line. In many of these organizations they have to weight the benefits of the donations to the cost of the new programming. The two organization I found where there is a memorial page is Best Friends in Utah & The Doris Day Foundation and donations can be made in the memory of a person or an animal and their name is listed. Best Friends is a wonderful organization for all animals and I heavily donate to them as they are one of the leading groups for helping all kinds of animals. The other one is the Doris Day Foundation were you can also give in someone's name - it is the second website and you can click on the online donation link. http://www.bestfriends.org/theanimal...ials/index.cfm http://www.ddaf.org/support/ http://www.sosdogs.org/ http://www.ytnr.com/ http://www.yorkiefriendsrescue.com/SponsororDonate.html http://www.yorkierescueme.com/default.asp http://www.unitedyorkierescue.org/ Maybe it would just be better to have people donate to YTNR and honor Rachael with a quiet donation in this way. I really do think you have hit on a wonderful way for a rescue organization to receive donations, I just don't think they are prepared for it. This is why they have to wait and talk to their board - some things legally have to be done that way. There are more Yorkie groups but I think you will run into the same issues. If you want to talk PM me your home phone and I will call you to see how I can help.

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Nobella, you've got lots of great people here to help you. Hopefully, this memorial in Rachel's name will happen soon. I know that she would have wanted this. Nobella, you are awesome!
