| It's getting crazy on the interstate.. In the last two weeks I have witnessed at least a dozen different items falling off of or out of the back of trucks and 18 wheelers. I am deathly afraid that something is going to come smashing through my windshield and kill my daughter in the back seat. To make it even scarier you have the 18 wheelers behind you that have to slam on their brakes to avoid hitting you because you had to slam on your brakes to avoid the falling objects... it's all just a massive cotastriphy waiting to happen. Last week a Bobcat (tractor) fell off of the back of a trailer, flew into the opposite lane and crashed head on into a car. Suprisingly the guy survived with minor injuries but he could have been killed. I wish that the police would patrol the interstate here more then they do now and I WISH that they would pull over those people with the loose cargo and fine them. The city needs the money to widen the roads due to the influx of people post-Katrina... well there's the money, right there on the interstate!!! Thanks for letting me vent now I'm off to the grocery and unfortunately I have to take the interstate... wish me luck!!!

| OH MY! Keep safe!!!! I don't like to drive on the Freeway, It's nuts out there. Most of my driving is in town. I could take the Freeway to the kids school, but I don't, I use the back roads, I don't care how much gas I could save, I'd rather save our lives!

| Wow, I sure am glad I don't have to drive on an interstate on a regular basis. I travel about 2 hours total a day - to and from work - and the roads I travel are pretty much rural roads (but not too rural - they are 70 MPH) but sometimes they can get a little scary because of hydroplaning (from the ruts made by all the big farm equipment) and just big ol' tractors and stuff. I honestly could not do the big highway driving though.
