| I could use your prayers this week I could really use your prayers this week. My Dad is paranoid schiziphrenic (sp?). We had a huge ordeal with him a couple of years ago and had finally gotten him on some really good medicine. He was soooo much better. Well, in Nov. his medical doctor took him off of all of his meds because of another medical problem. Now we're seeing signs that his paranoia is back. He was in the hospital last week for pneumonia and told us yesterday that one of the nurses tried to kill him and went into detail about it. My Dad has problems with delusion and this is the same pattern we had before only it was the doctor that tried to kill him. He thinks that he's doing great without his meds so we're in for another fight to get him back on meds. I'm not sure that I'm up for another fight. It was so hard the last time. I have my husband to help me and he's very understanding and tries to take a lot of the stress of this for me, but it's still there. My Mom and Dad are divorced and I have only one brother and he lives an hour and a half away, so the burden of this falls on me and my family. Please keep me in your prayers. I am really stressed about this and I have other obligations this week. This was a bad week for this to happen. Please pray for me, my husband and my Dad. Pray that my Dad will be receptive to getting on his meds and that the doctor will see that he needs his meds before his illness gets even worse. I'll keep you posted on how things are going and thanks in advance for your prayers. They're greatly appreciated!!!

| You are all in my prayers!! I am so sorry and I hope that he will go back on his meds - hope they have something that won't cause him too many other problems though!! My sister is extreme bi-polar and won't stay on her meds at all - I know this isn't the same thing but she also is a danger to herself and others when she is manic or depressed, and just out of control. Mental health issues are so hard and emotionally draining I pray you have the strength to get through this for all your sakes! |

| My Mom had the same thing and she was fine as long as she was on her meds. When she wasnt she would go on huge spending sprees and put herself in debt among other things. You have my prayers and well wishes.

| Thanks so much. I can't tell you how much your prayers were appreciated today. My husband and my Dad went to his personal doctor and my husband wasn't too happy because nothing was done. He got blood pressure meds and something to make him sleep!!! Does that sound like something to help a mental person??? I tried to call the dr. and he is so busy that I couldn't even get a nurse. I finally got ahold of his mental doctor and had his office set up an appointment with my dad (so it doesn't look like it was my suggestion). If dad thinks that I had anything to do with this he'll be so angry. When he gets angry he says things that I know he doesn't mean but hurt anyway. Wouldn't you know that this week I volunteered to help at a book fair at the grade school. Great timing!!! Thanks for your prayers and for letting me go on. I can't tell you how hard dealing with my dad is for me when he is like this.

| Oh yes we will keep you & your family in our Thoughts & Prayers. Mental health issues are so hard on the family. And when they don't want to take their meds, it's emotionally draining on everyone. The three children we adopted are all on meds, I thought I was going to loose it there, I really had no idea what was going on with them. They didn't tell us any of the problems they have before the adoption. We would have still adopted them, but I know we could have been better prepared for the mess we were in. Hang in there, we are here with you.
