| The Official "I crashed a friend's car" Thread I was reading those "get to know you better" surveys, and it seems like A LOT of people have crashed a friend's car! Are YTers just bad drivers? What is going on?! Please enlighten me When I was 15 a friend of mine let me drive her car. I was doing fine until she told me to turn. WELL, she didn't tell me to brake! We went flying off the road at about 40 MPH. I am proud to say that I haven't crashed a car since! What's your story?

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Depends on how you define "crash." I put a tiny, tiny dent in my first girlfriend's parents' car that they never noticed. I barely tapped another vehicle at a light. And I put another tiny, tiny dent in a back bumper of an aunt's car because I didn't see the light pole in the dark. Funny part was, I was the designated driver.

| I put my dad's car in a ditch one time when I was learning how to drive!! Does that count? Nobody/nothing was hurt or anything. Oddly enough, I was the one that was hysterical and my dad was trying to calm me down... I was so sure he would never let me drive again!

| Dose putting lot of little dint in my boyfriend at the time (NOW Hubby) Mustang count??... I was driving on a back rode being all cool, I was in a red convertible mustang so I had to act cool lol scent I only have a doggy neon ( i till have it to).... and I was driving a long about 70 75 and he decided we needed to turn a round .. My dumb a$$ turned into a gravel road a slid, missing a junk car by 2 inch, and all there little rocks FLYING and dust all around us. Scare this $hit out of me. He did his best to calm me down... Then about 6 month after we were married, some dumb but pulled out of of his parking spot (With ME Honking THE HORN) and hit me and put a dent over the back tier. It crushed his corner of his back in, in like a coke can.. then 4 weeks later, he totaled his car right before he came here (Germany).. He still talks about his mustang as if he has it still.. Men |

| Not a friend but my mom's car!!!! When I was sixteen I snuck out of my house and took my mom's car instead of mine. (don't remember why I took her car) I went and picked up a few friends and went to a party. After I got everyone but my friend Martin home I was going a little fast around a SHARP turn and the car went spinning into some trees. Neither of us was hurt bad but, my mom's car was totaled. A cop came to pick us up and I had them take me to my aunts house. (I wrecked my car in her town.... all my friends lived around my aunt and my mom's house was about 20 min. away in another town) So I had to knock on my aunts door at 4:30 a.m. and I had her call my mom b/c I didn't want to get yelled at. Here's the good part..... It was a school night.... my mom told my aunt that I better walk to my friends house down the street to take a shower and borrow some clothes b/c I was not missing school. (I had to take a shower b/c my head busted out the side window and cut me pretty bad behind the ear. There was blood all clumped in my hair) Also she amde me go to work after I got off school like normal. Crystal

Hmmm, my car? I slammed into another car at a stoplight because I was young and stupid and trying to use my emergency brake as my main brake because I couldn't afford to get my brakes fixed. Only real damage was my vw bug's hood. Other guy didn't even file a claim. So that shouldn't count either. Only other one I recall was when my wife was driving. Another car slammed into us head on on the highway in winter. Totalled both cars but we all miraculously survived. It was the other driver's fault, so I'm not counting that as well.

I will continue to defend my driving record with a clean conscience. And Mustangbee, that may be the nicest thing anyone has ever said about me! Of course, you were laughing at my story about a death-defying head-on collision, so I'm going to withhold judgment on you!
