| Tattoos I am thinking about getting a finger tattoo..a wedding band..but i dont like pain so im kinda worried about it. I know some of you are thinking WTH after 2 weeks ago and my thread but that has made our love even stronger and we are so much more closer than ever. I really want to do this. Does anybody have a tattoo on their finger and could tell me how much it hurt? Jeff has one on his arm and said it wasnt too bad. He said since I went thru childbirth without any drugs a tat would be a cake walk...what you all think?? |

| yes, I was actually thinking "wth didn't she just post about probs w/ hubby?" Glad you guys are doing better. I wouldn't be worried about the PAIN part; I'd be more worried about the fact that it's permanent - that's what keeps me from getting one.

| I wanted a tattoo on my foot, but the tattoo artist was honest and said that your feet get so sweaty that it'd eventually look like a blob. I was thinking that hands get really sweaty too, so I'm not sure. Also, this is just my opinion, but everything's always lovey dovey after one of those "Come to Jesus" talks. I'd hold off on the tattoo for a little while. You don't have to jump into it just yet.

| Hey, I'm so glad to hear that you and your hubby have worked/are working through the things that were making you unhappy! That's such good news I love to hear when couples make it through the hard times and become stronger because of it! As far as the tattoo thing goes, I couldn't do it myself, but I know others who CAN stand the pain...hehe I guess I'm not much help here.

| Oh, and if you decide to get one, it's not that bad. I have 3. To me it's more annoying than painful. It feels like if someone steps on your wet foot in the sand. One more thing...I was engaged less than a year ago. We went to get matching tattoos. We both go crosses. His is a little different, but everytime I look at it it brings back memories. I don't think I'd do something permanent like that. I'm just glad I didn't get his name. And you want to know something funny, his last name is Quirk, and everytime I look at your Username, it looks like that!

| I have two and not that I have ever experienced childbirth, but I would imagine it's a tad bit worse than a tattoo. And without drugs? Wow..more power to ya! I have one on the top of my foot that Ive had for two years and one on my hip that Ive had for three. To me..they kinda feel like a cat scratch..I agree with BabyFidgette..more annoying that painful. The part you really have to worry about is the permanence. And PS..sweaty feet dont effect your tattoo..o they didn't mine at least. Mine hasn't faded one bit in the two years I've had it..

| Yep! Whenever I can! I wanted to get it on my toe..but the tattoo artist was weary because it would be so small that you wouldn't be able to see any detail in it..but I have seen pictures of toe tattoos so there are artists out there that do it..

| Well, this one is mine. It is of a sea turle, my best friend and I got one after we passed bootcamp. It was so painful and I'll never do it again. I had wanted to stop, but I didn't want it to look stupid with a halfway finished tatoo. Some advice I have for you... Make sure it's meaningful-something all about you. Don't do it because someone else is doing it or told you to do it. It has to be all about you or you might regret it. My husband has 5 tats and we won't do names because he believes it curses the relationship, which is probably true. We don't need to label our men, it's part of trust. He did get a huge tatoo of our son on his back though. I don't recommend the wedding ring one. You have to be realistic. Knock on wood-what if something bad does happen in the marriage? A couple weeks you were ready to call it quits. My friend has a tat of a frog on her and she hates it everytime she looks at it because it reminds her of her ex because it was his nickname. So get something that means alot to you. http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/inde...08F5FF86669508 |

| I am so glad that you have worked out your problems. YES! YEAH! If you really truly want to get a tattoo, then go for it, but remember this -- tattoo or not, rings or not..... if your love is not tattooed in your heart that all outward signs are meaningless. |

| A lady I knew had one on her toe and it looked horrible and she said it hurt like crazy. I would think one on the finger would also hurt as there is not much meat there. I have one on my ankle and it didn't hurt that bad at all. |

| Well i would like to say but The love is in my heart. I have had a very bad childhood and im basically afraid people will leave me so I try to do it first even though I know Jeff would never leave me. My self esteem isnt great either and always think everythings my fault which Jeff never blames me. He dont hit me, he dont do anything except some of the things he says when im about to rip the family apart which I understand. Jeff is who has been here for me since I was 18. He lov3es me unconditional and I know damn well I know it too so I know it may seem stupid to some to get a wedding ring tattoo and I understand your points of view but im going to be with him for the rest of my life. I had the money to leave and I didnt i was grown up enough to sit down and talk and tell him what is going inside my crazy head and were closer than ever. Im not yelling at all im just explaining that this is how it is and any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks |

| Toe tattoo Heres my toe i had tattooed 5 years ago. Tatto artist said its the most painful place as the skin is so thick to break thru. He also said it would start to gradually rub away abit because of wear and tear of shoes rubbing against it. It has started to rub off at the side. As for the pain all i can say is i have 4 tattoos and the toe was painful but the others 2 on shoulders and 1 on thigh was just an annoying scratch. sorrys picture is rubbish i dont know how to put it so you can click on it to make it bigger, if anyone can do it please feel free.
