| I am sooooo stupid! We got a car this weekend. But, as I was adding it to our toll-tag account, I found a startling surprise! We had an accident over a year ago, 9/2004, the insurance company ended up totaling the car and the body shop was supposed to return the toll tag to NTTA. Someone has been using our tolltag since January 2005. It just charges to our credit card every $40, and my husband uses it a lot. He just never thought the charges seemed excessive; aboaut $25 out of $100/month. We should have cancelled it for $25 back in the first place, but we didn't. I hope someone will benefit for my stupidity. How easy it is to pay bills these days and not pay any attention. $400 stupid for me!

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Well, someone's going to be surprised when they try to use it again Speaking of stupid....we once continued paying insurance on a vehicle that we no longer owned. Insurance company did re-imburse us for 1 year's premiums but couldn't (or wouldn't) go back any further than that.

| Don't feel stupid!! My mom and dad don't look at their bills, they just pay them. Here's a story for you that just happened a week ago. In Jersey we have Cablevision. We use them for Cable and Cable Modem (Internet). Well, last year my dad needed a new Cable modem, so he got one from Cablevision. They let you "borrow" them now and when you don't need it anymore you just return it. Well my dad's first Cable modem he bought, so he obviously didn't return it. Well, anyway, they just got a new cable box so my dad decided to look at the bill to make sure he wasn't overpaying for any new stations b/c they told him he would be getting a lot more included. He noticed that Cablevision had been charging him for the use of two cable modems for 7 months!!! That's $350 extra!! My dad called up Cablevision and they said, "Why didn't you tell us sooner that you only were using one modem?" He said, "Hey, my wife and I don't look at the bills, we just pay them!!" My dad is so funny!! So, to make a long story even longer , Cablevision is now giving my dad a $350 credit. So why don't you call EZ Pass and see if they can credit you? It can't hurt to try. I've gotten fees removed all the time. All you have to do is try. Good luck!!! PS. Sorry for the long post.

| EZ pass is partly at fault in my opinion because a tag is supposed to only work with the license plate they assign it to. I would fight them and ask why they didn't follow their own policy? If they won't help you, try getting reimbursed from your insurance company. It never hurts to ask. If they say no you aren't out anything else. If they say yes....well you have found money.

| They told me they do not issue refunds. Oh! And I guess it's my lucky month cause my stepson lost his phone a month ago and when I called to get the new phone (again, I stupidly got the insurance 5.99/mo x 5 phones, because he keeps loosing phones) I found out you have to file a police report for losing a phone and pay a $50 copay to Asurian (verizon) Ins co. I figure I paid about $350 for the free cheap phone we got him last year when I added insurance. I got the $350 phone and cancelled the insurance. I can't win

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Let me tell you a story about the verizon phone insurance. We had the insurance. We filed ONE claim, THEY cancelled us. Definitely one of those deals where they want you to pay the premium but never use the policy On your fast tag thing, I'd dispute those charges through my cc company. They'll do a charge back and you'll get the credit

| I appreciate all! The credit card company 'might' refund one month, but this was over 13 months, it was just plain stupid and lazy that I have not monitored this account. The police and toll tag authority could easily figure out what car had been using this tag if they want to, it's just small potatoes to them. I am exhausted from messing with it all day!
