On a personal note:

I want to personally thank Pat for all she has done for me...
aka Muffie's Mom

Pat has been a pillar for just about everything, from helping me with my quiting smoking to eating healthy and doing all the research for me as well as others... she has posted documentation of the right foods. the wrong foods, what smoking can do to you!! etc etc..I can go on and on but I know there are alot of you that she has been there for as well, my point being I will miss you Pat you kept me going! encouraged me, talked me into caring about the way I eat and what I was eating

I received the exact same message. Pat, you have been a pillar of strength to many of us, more than you will ever know. I personally thank you for all of the research and insight you have shared. You will be greatly missed by many. Good luck -- sending you hugs

I could be wrong, but I am of the impression that Pat is no longer visiting Yorkie Talk.

I could go on and on about what Pat has done for me. She is the most amazing woman and completely dedicated to health and healthy eating because of all the health problems she has experienced in the past 20 years. If it were not for her, the YT Healthy Eating Club would probably not have lost over 110 pounds year-to-date. I started the club with an idea, but Pat was the driving force behind the research, support, hints and tips. With all the information she has left behind, I know we can maintain, and I am grateful for all her hard work.

It's sad that an incredible person like Pat would feel they have to cut themselves off from YT to avoid stress. Isn't YT supposed to be FUN?

Thank you, Pat, for all you do. I love you, my friend, and will miss you from the boards, but am happy to still be in touch with you.

Well said Jaspersmom...She and I talk every day too.... and I can testify to what a wonderful woman she is. She's been thru so much and still finds the time to help others... and I feel pretty lucky to have her as a friend......I'm sure she'll appreciate this thread even if she's not here to see it.

This is horrible!

This is so upsetting. I have so much respect for Pat. It is not good if this or any site is THIS disturbing for anyone.

I will miss her.

Pat, I've have'nt had the pleasure of knowing you for very long. But from the replies of your friends it sounds like you have been an asset here on YT. But more importantly you to need to take care of yourself. Maybe down the road if you're feeling better, you could come back.

I am so sorry that you feel you must "bow out" of YT. You have always been so suportive of everyone, and a real asset to this board. You will be missed. But you must do what you must for your own peace of mind, and I will support your decision.

Villette, or someone who talks to Pat often.....It might be an idea to print out this thread and send it to Pat, if she is not going to even read any more on YT. Then she will see how helpful we all thing she has been, and know how much she will be missed. That shouldn't be too stressful for her.
