Teeth Guilt??

OK, this should NOT have anything to do with GUILT, but HEY, whatever WORKS!!!

You are doing a great job, Villette, and with your enthusiasm and great sense of humor, you have convinced some other folks who have health dangers that choosing to eat in an healthy manner may just save their lives. Do you realize what kind of changes you have instituted through YOUR support??

We are proud to have you, dear heart, as part of the Club!!

Thank You ! You're too nice...

I do feel we're all supporting each other - it's really making it easier to implement changes when we know others are doing the same thing...one of my good friends is doing this too and she is doing just WONDERFUL even though we aren't seeing posts - I can testify that these threads have been a great source of motivation for her and I both

Wow, congrats to all of you members on such a great job!!!!

I too made losing weight a New Year's resolution and lost 16 pounds in January and have 30-35 to go (although this will put me at a weight I haven't been since like middle school!!!). I have skimmed through the thread a couple of times but just can't seem to keep up with you guys as it seems pages are added each hour! It is SO great that you are supporting each other!

Keep up the great work everyone!!!!

Default On behalf of the club!

Thanks to everyone so far for your congrats! Anyone who has ever "dieted" knows what hard work it is! And these folks are doing something different this time: they are learning how to make healthy eating choices for LIFE! It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change that takes committment, thought, and concious effort. So they DO have a LOT to be congratulated for!!

YEAHHHHHHHHHHH TEAM!!!

Ha - I like that even better. You are right, it does give you a much better visual and makes you feel like you have accomplished more. When I try to visualize a "pound" I just see a little line on the scale. Of course visualizing a potato is much easier......the only thing is that if I have lost 16 potatos, I should be able to pull my pants on and off without even unbuttoning!!! Boy, don't I wish!!!

I have always heard that you should keep a journal and watch your calories and I always thought that was just too much work. That is exactly what I decided to try this time though and have found that it helps a whole lot! I write down everything that I eat each day and the total number of calories as well as what (if any) exercise I did. I also put my measurements and front and side view pictures of me when I started and then once I had finished 1 month.....I do my weight each week. I make sure I exercise 4 days each week and while I at first started off with just 30 minutes of Tae-Bo, I am now on my second week of doing the full one hour tape of the Firm with the Fannylifter (I had to do one week of only 40 minutes of the tape before I could get through the whole thing though). I have also let myself cheat for 1 meal each week. I don't go crazy or anything, but just let myself have something that I really enjoy...like Taco Bell. This has really helped as I don't feel like I am depriving myself from everything that I really enjoy.
