| virus, worm, spyware & such With the threat of the worm that is set to "explode" on the 3rd it is a good thing to have your antivirus updated. if you do not have an active antivirus there are free ones out there that is much better than nothing. here is a link to a good one. it is full function for 14 days. after the trial is over you can still update and scan. the only difference is there is no real time protection after that date. It is a good one to have. it is called Ewido another good one is Avast 4 Home Edition. HERE This one is totally free and totally full function. checks for updates every time you turn on your puter. You can also use both at the same time.

| I just updated my antivirus. I have AVG free antivirus which is highly recommended by those computer cops and computer geeks sites. I had Norton up until a month or so ago and am not going to renew it because when I have gotten a virus, AVG has always found it and Norton just sits there. Go figure! Anyway, I agree with your post...everyone update your antivirus programs!

| My husband said that AVG is not that great here is a link that tells you the removal rate the number one av program is Kaspersky removing 99.46% of viruses tested in this study http://www.virus.gr/english/fullxml/...p?id=72&mnu=72 Spysweeper and CCleaner are good for removing temp files and spyware. Norton rated at 85% removal rate but takes a lot more system resources to run. If you don't want to pay for an antivirus program my husband suggests AntiVir Personal, which is a free program, just google it.
