Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Do I have a complaint and to whom??? I posted this earlier and sent it off to family & friends. Several people said I should f Good Bye Ranger -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Good Bye Ranger We had to put down our 10 yo Bichon this morning. It took three injections before he passed on--not the "it'll be over before the girl is done injecting him". First vein collapsed; second vein--it wasn't over; the vet's girls left us with the dying dog for 15 minutes, then came back in the room to do a third injection in the other leg. At least by the third injection, Ranger was unaware of his surroundings. Husband & I were just totally upset. Good bye, Ranger. You'll always have a place in our hearts. I hope you find Muffers and Panda who left us when you first were our "new puppy".ile a complaint about Ranger's treatment...what do you think? |

| That is absolutely awful. You definitely have a BIG complaint. I am so sorry this happened to you on top of the already tragic decision of letting your dog go. I would start with the vet and work from there. My heart goes out to you. I held my two golden retrievers through those last minutes and I know how miserable you felt. I am sending you a hug.

| Oh no...how awful!!! What did the vet and/or the techs say??? I think you can file a complaint with the Medical Board in your state. This is so horrible and insensitive. How distressing |

| Oh, Sweetie, that sounds horrible. IF EVER you have a situation like that again, make sure they use an intravenous catheter and leave it in til the desired effect. When my heart Jesse was euthanized, my vet took him to the back and put the cath in and brought him back to me. We cried so hard she could hardly push the med in but she had to do it for herself. Anyhow, jesse was a 3 pounder, very ill and hard to find a vein on. But, he just stopped breathing; didn't take a deep bredth, sigh or anything!! That is how it should be. My God, I would have died if that had happened to Jesse. I hope you have or will let the vet know how you feel about the situation.. PM me if I can be of any elp to you... |
