| I enjoy the group as well. I've been in some groups and they weren't very friendly and they cliquish! I don't necessarily see that here. Most can agree to disagree or move past a post when it looks heated. I felt support when Troy was sick and found a breeder here when I got Emma. I find the site to be a good resource and some have become real friends even without ever having met them in person!

Sadly, many of YT's long standing, very experienced members have chosen not to post here any longer because they didn't experience the "agree to disagree" respectfully YorkieTalk tradition. I am reaching out to some of the "oldies but goodies" who are MIA in hopes that they will "come home" and start posting and participating in some of the fun activities life Gift Exchanges and the off topic games.

Some left after the ME mess....we all remember her and the havoc she wreaked. Many followed that hateful woman and went to other "nice" forums that all failed. Why? Because they really were not "nice" to all...they all had their little agendas. YT has always been one of the more balanced forums. We ALL have had our little issues here....I have been suspended for things that I felt were unfair...but, at the end of the day I had to learn to follow the rules. I don't make them. Good luck with bringing folks back....most of them have chosen to stay on Facebook...it is a trend thing more than anything. They all have "excuses" but at the end of the day that is ALL it is...excuses. I have seen some come back and leave again...heck I even do it. I get busy and don't post for a while and suddenly feel badly about it and come back. I don't know who your "oldies but goodies" are....I think that new and old are all "goodies". Everyone who chooses to post here is a "goodie" .... we may not all agree with one another, but we all have one common love...that of the yorkie breed. It certainly cannot hurt to reach out to people and try to bring them back, but, not with an "agenda". YT is not going to change to suit any of us. It is what it is....and I believe it is a very well run forum. We are very lucky that Admin, Jenny, and Ann have stuck it out even during the slow years.... and the absolutely insane ones.

I do agree that everyone who posts here is a definitely a "goodie". The "Oldies but Goodies" referred to the many YTers who were active during YTs very early days including those of us who met in chat almost every evening, regularly participated in Gift Exhanges and those of us that organized and participated in the 2009 Meetup. I sincerely apologize if any of my comments offended you . And I definitely agree that YT has an incredible staff - Admins, Moderators, and Technical personnel. THE BEST!! In fact that is why I started this thread -- because !

| It does indeed rule. I was not saying that you have an agenda. I was just saying if they come back in order to try to change things (which is an agenda) then they will end up disappointed is all. If that is indeed the reason they left, I hardly think they will like it more now. Personally, I think the focus is a good one. If you can stimulate discussions, that's all good.

| One of the absolute best things about YorkieTalk is that it is an ever changing evolving entity. I do know for a fact that many of our members now choose to post on other venues rather than YT. I am sure that each has their own reason and it isn't my place to speculate as to their individual reasons. I miss many of my YT family members and personal friends who are YTers and would love to have them back. |

| I do really miss the comradery of forums which is why I try to stick around. I go through phases where I post more or don't post as much. Facebook makes life easier in certain ways- sharing photos is super easy and it's all done through my simple FB app on my iphone. But there's something so much more personal about a forum. I find comments get lost quickly on FB threads. I do wish it could be busier again like when I first joined in 2008 (I'm sure I missed even more from the earlier years). I enjoy being able to look back at old threads and also it's kind of like a journal for Jackson's life... going through old posts and being able to see our journey since he was a pup!

Copied and posted from "What's going on" at the bottom of the forums page. Most YorkieTalk members ever online was 227, on 03-08-2009 at 6:48PM PDT. -- I was there and it was incredible. YT is and always has been the GREATEST yorkie forum ever. I would just love to see active members in the 100's rather than in the less than 10 range.

| I have high periods and low periods on YT, usually because of work. I do like when the forum was busy because it was lots to read and I loved seeing pictures of the pups and learning something new. I'm not on many FB groups but that's just because I'm rarely on social media. I do think YT is a release for me during my work day sometimes

Donating YT 11K Club Member | Wow I haven't been here in so long and I miss it I was a member back from 2006-2010. I think when my girls died I lost my will to post here. I was depressed about Sophie's passing . May I ask who here that has passed? I wonder if it's anyone I know. Hope everyone's okay

| I'm still here on occasion...usually looking for advise since Winston became ill. I remember and miss the old times, old friends...but am always open to new times and new friends!!! Yes FaceBook has become my nightly unwind time but I don't think I have even mentioned Winston not feeling well on there...only here. I just feel safe here and I know that the advise I get here will be honest and true...thanks YorkieTalk for still being here for me as Winston and I travel through the "golden years" of life.

| I too haven't been on here as much as I used to be. Not for any particular reason. I always enjoyed reading all of the posts on this forum. There were always many very helpful, knowledgeable and caring people here. It would be nice if it became as active as it used to be.
