Donating YT 14K Club Member | Tragic day in Victoria, TX. I've debated with myself on whether to post this or not but here goes. VISD lost 2 students last night and 2 other small children. There was a house fire that claimed the lives of a 7th grader, a 6th grader, a 3 year old and finally a 2 year old. Parents were seperated and the kids lived with mom. Fire happened between 12:00 a.m. and 2 a.m. Mom wasn't home at the time of the fire which has raised lots of suspicions. San Antonio and Houston news were here today so if any of you saw the news coverage, I wonder if they shared more than the Victoria News. Anyway, please say a prayer for everyone involved and everyone related to these kids. Counseling services have started coming into the school that these two siblings attended to help the friends of these kids.

| That's SO horrible. Unfortunately its not so common up here in the winter with people using space heaters etc. I saw something else on the local news and I think they said it was from Houston. There was a high speed chase with a dude in a BMW. He ended up crashing into a car with a woman and her baby in it. She got out and checked her baby and then turned around and tore into the guy! Forget the cops with the guns, he had a Mad Mom protecting her young to worry about! Fortunately, it didn't look like anyone was seriously hurt.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Oh Kimberley - I saw that on the news and was thinking about you - we've had so many fires lately too in Houston - how terrible for those poor kids and wonder why the mom wasn't home with them too....She must be devestated....Bless those Children ...what a horrible horrible way to die. Not to change the subject - but ...Sherry Lynn - we watched that Car Chase today - that guy was totally messin with the cops u-turning all over the place - I thought that woman was going to take him DOWN on the street myself - she didn't even check her baby at first - that part bothered me but she was po'd big time

| I am so sorry to hear about this tragedy. How sad. I know it was probably hard at school today. We have had a some tragedies this year in my sons high school, students deaths in auto accidents, and a popular teacher committed suicide. These times are really rough on friends, especially when they are young. |

| This is horribly sad. It's heartbreaking hearing the loss of inocent children. It is never understandable.

| How HORRIBLE!!! I can't believe that they would have been home by themselves!!! I hope we can find out the whole story. Sounds funny to me though. What an aweful tragedy |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | My husband came home talking about that guy in Houston. CRAZY! She was probably just so pissed that she didn't even think to check on her kid. She just wanted to whip up on him and serves the ba$tard right! After the chase he put the cops through, he needed his a$$ whipped!

On the clip I saw, I thought she ran to the back seat first. But then, I didn't look up until I heard them say "Houston". I figured it must be something for them to be showing it on the news up here.

| So very sad. I cannot imagine a mother leaving her young children home alone. |

| A 6th and 7th grader could be 12 - 14 years old. I am not taking up for the mom, but she might have been at work or something, and the kids should be old enough to babysit, or watch younger siblings. Horrible tragedy.

| Single mom, 4 kids, she was at work. Bless her heart, it doesn't sound like she had many options. She'll never be the same. God bless her.

Donating YT 14K Club Member | WOW! Well, people at work didn't mention that she worked nights. Still, to leave a 13 year old in charge of 3 younger siblings two of which were toddlers upsets me. Just what if the older child had made it out alive??? He would have had to live with it his whole life that HE was in charge and his younger siblings died. Very sad.

| It is just a terrible tragedy. Probably if mom had been home, she would have died as well. I just can't even imagine how she must feel.
