Donating YT 30K Club Member | Please say a prayer I am moving my 86 year old parents to a senior apartment 5 minutes from me. they currently live an hour away and I go down 2-3 times a week to help them. Up until his death in November I was also caring for my Father in law. My dad has dementia and a colostomy and my mother is 86 years old and weighs 85 lbs due to some chronic health issues yet she has to take care of my dad. They are getting some help but I will be able to go there every day once they are up here. Here's where I need prayers and good thoughts. The hospital behind their house is suppossed to be buying it but have kept delaying it for the last 5 months. We finally decided to move them up by me anyway. The hospital was suppossed to have it go before their board last Thursday and we have not heard anything again from our lawyer or theirs. This is putting so much stress on my parents and I would appreciate your prayers so that we can get this resolved. Thanks

| You have my heartfelt good wishes that everything works out. It is very stressful to have aging parents with health needs, let alone the other stresses regarding selling the house. Please know that your father may experience increased confusion in his new home - this is very common in persons with dementia. He may ask to "go home" and he may even be agitated because of the new and unfamiliar surroundings. However, things may go really smoothly - you just never know. You may even think that you have made a big mistake in moving him - but the increased confusion will pass and he will likely return to his usual self in a few days/weeks. I work with people with dementia and I see this a lot, when a move has to be made. Good luck with everything.

| What a wonderful daughter you are! I will remember your parents in my prayers, and you also, I hope that you are not neglecting your own health and well being. Remember, take care of the care taker! Good luck.

| I know its hard, but... Once you get them all settled, think about how great it will be to have them so near! Less worry and less time to get to them if you need to.
