| Yorkie decal nail fail.... Well, I bought some little yorkie nail decals thinking I would sport my yorkie love via my fingernails- Lol! I am terrible at this stuff! It was a major fail. It looks like a five year old did it. They tell you to paint your nails white, which white nail polish is weird and hard to put on (and all over my hands right now) and how on earth do you peel the decals off and apply them to your wet nails? Ladies, this job takes a friend. And maybe if I were a better nail lady (I've never had them 'done' for example but geez, I thought I could paint them and put stickers on them!) then I could locate my clear coat and wouldn't have been going over my poorly applied badly painted white nails with sparkle coat or maybe that is, I would have my clear coat except that I have lovely teenage daughters, lol I will share my pic of shame because how could I babble all of this and then not? Anyone else tried yorkie nail decals? And seriously, that is the better hand!

| I use gel to do my own nails....my husband bought me the light and everything a few years ago for Mother's Day. It took me a few months to keep from having it all around on my cuticles lol one thing is that if your polish is older it thickens and makes it harder to get a smooth coat on. Use a polish thinner or buy a new bottle of white.....walgreens carries sinful colors for less than $2 usually (i use them for my toes)...paint, top coat, allow to dry. Use a pointed q tip soaked with polish remover to clean up the edges ( or paint around cuticles with elmers glue, then peel off when done) Use tweezers to apply decals and then topcoat again. :-)

| Oh, Alyssa...I'm sure they look stunning in 'real life'.... Just don't let them drop off into your scrummy cooking... xx

| I just painted my nails white for the first time the other day and applied pumpkin and black cat decals for Halloween. Don't feel bad, mine look horrible too. I actually had much better luck with some I did before and just painted my nails a light pink and then I had applied doggie decals over them. I'm not sure if you have the same kind as I do but I have to wait for the nail polish to dry before applying the decals. You peel the film off and stick it to your nail, then use a damp cloth and the decal sticks to your nail. Then apply a topcoat. Definitely never painting my nails white again though!

And oh sweet and lovely miss Sally knows me and how much I love cooking and eating- just like she does! and since she knows how much I love a good meal, she's just watching out for me- making sure they are as tasty as they should be (and without badly stuck yorkie nail decals! Lol) of course most of my food pales in comparison to the descriptions of hers! Admittedly, half the time I'm posting raisin bran and a latte but I plan to give her a run for her money with crab and salmon tommorow! (Hee, hee hee- see 'be honest, what did you just eat?' Thread) Sally is from 'across the pond' ya know, so scrummy is actually a compliment

| Totally great attempt and idea despite execution! I can't paint my own nails so I get mine done every four weeks. You could get yours done too and just ask them to apply the decals for you? I love white polish but I'm way too pale to pull it off. I'm a nail fanatic, though. Nice nails = nice hands. Great job, though! You are braver than I am! AND at least you painted your nails.. I always get everything but..lol |

| I got mine from luckystarstyle.com. I'm not sure how much you paid but they have them for $1.85 for 20 of them and shipping is free. They have different designs too I believe.

| Your nails look good, white is a very difficult color, it's always streaky. Quote:

Thank you for complimenting my attempt- I did pick the best shot and I'm afraid there were worse ones! The white is so streaky! I wonder why that is? I actually really wanted to respond to the idea of polish thinner but I was nervous that I just didn't know any better thinking it was a different product than remover- I'm glad to hear it is its own thing, that seems like a smart product to have if you are going to get into your nails.
